The Coppa Italia has been a welcome distraction for Salernitana who are struggling in the league and are currently rooted to the foot of the Serie A standings. They have picked up just one win from their last five matches, although that victory came last Saturday as they edged out Verona 1-0 with Tchaouna on target once again.
That result was also a rare away win for Salernitana, who have struggled on their travels lately. Filippo Inzaghi’s men had lost six of the previous seven matches on the road, failing to score in five fixtures in that run.
