Inter Milan begin the defence of their Coppa Italia title as they welcome Bologna to San Siro for a round of 16 fixture. It has been a spectacular first half of the season for Inter Milan, who have lost just once across all competitions. The Nerazzurri have progressed into the round of 16 of the Champions League and opened up a four point lead at the top of the Serie A standings following a 2-0 win at Lazio last Sunday.
Inter Milan have also impressed in front of their fans this season and are unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions at San Siro. Simone Inzaghi’s men have claimed five wins in that run while also keeping as many clean sheets.
Bologna have come through the two previous rounds in the competition to secure a place in Wednesday’s clash. First they claimed a 2-0 victory over Serie C side Cesena before earning a similar result over Verona last time out.
The visitors have plenty of reasons to be pleased with their campaign so far as they are in the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia while also challenging around the top end of the table. A slight problem for Bologna is that they often do their best work at home and have picked up just one win on their travels this season. The good news is that the win came in their previous away fixture as they triumphed 2-1 at Salernitana.

Both teams have already met this season with Bologna coming from behind to earn a 2-2 draw in a Serie A fixture at San Siro back in October. However, Inter Milan had claimed three straight home wins prior to October’s clash, including back to back 6-2 victories in the previous two meetings in front of their fans.

Lautaro Martinez continues to impress for Inter Milan and has now scored 15 Serie A goals this season. The striker has also found the net in the last three meetings with Bologna at San Siro and is priced at evens with Paddy Power to maintain his scoring run.
