Inter Milan vs Bodo/Glimt

, KO: 20:00 , San Siro
Bodo/Glimt

All eyes will be on Milan on Tuesday after Bodo/Glimt pulled off the big surprise of the round last week, beating Inter Milan 3-1. Last year's finalists will have to do something they have never done before in the Champions League to advance.

The 3-1 loss was shocking in real time, but perhaps not so unexpected after recent weeks. Bodo are on their winter break because the weather in Norway is not conducive to football, having played only three official matches since the start of the year.

All three were in the Champions League – against Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan. Bodo won all three matches. The Norwegian debutants in the tournament could become the first team from the country to progress beyond this stage of the tournament since the 1980s.

But Inter Milan are far from being in bad form, with eight wins in their last 10 matches. And this time they will not be playing in sub-zero temperatures and on artificial turf.

An interesting fact, however, is that the Nerazzurri have never won a UCL Knockout match by a three-goal margin, and now they need just such a victory if they want to avoid extra time.

How the bookies view it: Overwhelming home advantage

The bookmakers are definitely in agreement about the potential outcome of the match, with all opinions pointing to Inter, and the difference in odds is huge compared to last week's match.

At the moment, you can back Inter Milan at just 1/4, while Bodo/Glimt are available at 10/1. The draw is priced at 11/2.

Recent head-to-head: A shocking start to this rivalry

The entire football world is aware of last week's events, as this was the first match between the two teams in their history.

However, we can note that Bodo already has considerable experience as a guest in Italy, as this will be their eighth match in the country. Unfortunately for them, they have never won as visitors, with six losses and one draw.

Players to watch: Esposito has arrived

The artificial turf in Norway has claimed its victim, as Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez will not be playing in this match due to an injury he sustained last week.

In his absence, others will have to prove themselves, although it will be much more difficult for the team. Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to return from his latest muscle injury, and he can decide any match on his own.

But we would like to draw attention to 20-year-old Pio Esposito, who scored the only goal in the first match. A week earlier, he also scored against Juventus. This will be a great opportunity for the youngster to prove himself and secure his place in the starting lineup.

Probable line-ups

Inter Milan: Sommer, Bisseck, Bastoni, Akanji, Dimarco, Zielinski, Sucic, Frattesi, Henrique, Thuram, Esposito

Bodo/Glimt: Haikin, Sjovold, Bjortuft, Gundersen, Bjorkan, Fet, Berg, Evjen, Blomberg, High, Hauge

Anything else catch the eye?

All roads lead to a goal-packed clash, and with Bodo/Glimt, you can never know who will win. After all, they already beat Atletico Madrid away from home, and also picked up a point at Signal Iduna Park against Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Inter lost twice at home in the League Phase, and have now been asked to win by 3+ goals for the first time ever at this stage. The Norwegians have proven they can match the best in the world, and we will risk backing an Over 3.5, with hopes that Bodo will continue scoring goals too.
