Crystal Palace vs AFC Bournemouth

, KO: 15:00 , Selhurst Park
AFC Bournemouth

Crystal Palace saw their unbeaten start to the season end just before the international break so they'll be desperate to bounce back with a win when their Premier League campaign resumes against AFC Bournemouth.

The Eagles beat Liverpool on penalties in the Community Shield then kept flying high as they went without defeat for the next 10 games in all competitions.

They should have made that 11 against Everton in their last match but Jack Grealish scored right at the death to seal an ill-deserved 2-1 win for the Toffees.

That saw Oliver Glasner's men drop down to sixth and they are now two points and two places below in-form Bournemouth.

Since losing 4-2 at Anfield on day one, with a few tips landing for The Betting Desk, the Cherries have gone six games without defeat in the Premier League.

Andoni Iraola has them purring once more and another victory at Selhurst Park would even move them top of the table for a couple of hours before Arsenal take on Fulham.

How the bookies view it: Where Eagles dare

This is a tough one to call with both sides in excellent form this season but BoyleSports make Crystal Palace 23/20 favourites with home advantage. Bournemouth are priced at 23/10 and the draw pays 9/4.

Recent head to head: Another bore draw?

Fans will be hoping this game is more entertaining than the two Premier League clashes last season, with both ended in 0-0 draws. There has been nothing between these sides in the last five years, with two wins apiece and three stalemates.

Players to watch: Mateta on a roll

Jean-Philippe Mateta will return to Palace with his confidence up after scoring on his full debut for France, albeit in a disappointing 2-2 draw with Iceland. The powerful striker is 6/4 at BoyleSports to add to his five-goal tally this season.

Antoine Semenyo has pushed on after his breakthrough campaign for Bournemouth and is lighting up every game he plays in just now. The Cherries forward is 3/1 for anytime scorer, which looks overpriced on recent form. He's also 8/5 with Bet365 to either score or assist.

Probable line-ups

Both squads are in pretty healthy shape, with only Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucoure and Caleb Kporha missing for Palace while Eres Unal and Adam Smith are sidelined for Bournemouth.

Crystal Palace: Henderson, Munoz, Richards, Lacroix, Guehi, Mitchell, Wharton, Pino, Kamada, Sar, Mateta.

AFC Bournemouth: Petrovic, Truffert, Senesi, Diakite, Hill, Brooks, Scott, Adams, Tavernier, Semenyo, Evanilson.

Anything else catch the eye?

Based on last season's meetings and the form of both sides in this campaign, it should be a close game. I wouldn't be surprised to see a third successive draw but the half-time draw is a safer bet at 21/20, given it has landed in the last three meetings.

This fixture was pretty spicy last term, with twelve yellows and one red dished out across the two games. That makes over 4.5 cards worth a look at 5/6 with Bet365 but there's more value in the individual markets.

Tyler Adams and Adam Wharton are set to battle it out, with the Cherries midfielder 13/8 to go into the book and his opposite number priced at 7/2.

Palace striker Mateta is evens at Bet365 to have over 1.5 shots on target and that bet could pay off as it has landed in his last two games.
