Chile and Paraguay Square off in a Copa America Group A clash at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia as they look to join Argentina in the quarter-finals. Both teams will be keen to avoid defeat and should serve up a cagey affair.
Chile are coming off a 1-1 draw against Uruguay in their previous fixture in the competition. They opened the scoring in the first half but Arturo Vidal’s own goal meant they had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Chile have just one win from three matches in Brazil, claiming a slim 1-0 victory over Group A whipping boys Bolivia. Martin Lasarte’s men have been plagued by a by a string of draws lately with four from their last five matches, stretching back to before Copa America.
The Chileans appear to be missing star forward Alexis Sanchez, who is not due to return until after the group phase. They look limited in attack and have failed to score more than one goal in each of their last five matches.
