BENFICA host Inter Milan in their penultimate Champions League group stage game as they attempt to salvage some pride in a quite disastrous campaign.
The Portuguese giants sit on top of their league after winning the derby at the weekend over Sporting Lisbon after two goals in injury time and that should inject them with some confidence. They have not lost in the league since their opening game defeat at Bavsta.
But it's been an entirely different story in the Champions League. They have somehow managed to lose all four games and it's as if this competition doesn't agree with them.
Despite this, they can still get Europa League football although they will need to finally pull something out of the hat against Serie A leaders Inter.
They were also involved in a top of the table clash on Sunday against Juventus where they dominated for long periods without actually creating too much and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
But they are crammed full of quality and very, very comfortable on the ball. They look like real contenders for the Champions League title they came so close to winning last term.
They have lost just once in all competitions this season and that was curiously at home to Sassuolo back in September.
How the bookies view it
There's very, very little to choose from the teams from a betting point of view. with both hovering just above the 6/4 mark.
Benfica can be backed at 8/5 with Coral, while the Italians are a stand-out 17/10 with Coral. The draw is 5/2 with William Hill.
Recent head to heads
Benfica have never defeated Inter Milan in six meetings, including a 1-0 defeat in Italy back in October.
Players to watch
Danish hitman Casper Tengstedt was the hero for Benfica at the weekend with his last gasp winner and he is 13/4 to score anytime on Wednesday.

Anything else catch the eye?
On paper, this looks like a tricky trip for Inter, but they ooze quality and can add to the Champions League doom and gloom for the hosts.
They are a classy outfit and will want to top their group, where they are currently trailing Real Sociedad on goal difference.
Of their last five wins, they have won four of them by a single goal. Go for that again at 7/2 with Paddy Power.
And back that man Martinez to continue his fine form this season with another goal, in Portugal.
