BENFICA battered Barcelona on their last Champions League outing but it will be a massive surprise if they dismantle another European heavyweight when mighty Bayern Munich come calling.
The Eagles soared to a 3-0 win over Barca on Matchday Two yet that was a much down to a woeful display from the Catalan giants as it was to Benfica's impressive performance.
Having drawn away to Dynamo Kiev in their group opener, it puts Jorge Jesus' men in an excellent position to qualify for the last 16 against the odds.
But Bayern remain the best team in Group E by a distance, having followed up a 3-0 victory at the Nou Camp with a thumping 5-0 win over Kiev that brought up another Slips Tips bet builder.
The Bundesliga champions may have lost their Euro crown last term but they are arguably the best team in the world right now, having crushed an accomplished Leverkusen side 5-1 at the weekend.
Ten of Bayern's 12 games have ended in victories this term, netting five or more in five of those matches, so Benfica will have to come up with something special to stop them.
And the Portuguese side have hit a blip since that win over Barcelona, losing 1-0 at home to Portimonense in the league before scraping past minnows Trofense in the cup.

Despite their illustrious European history, Benfica have never beaten Bayer Munich across eight outings, with the Germans winning five and the other three matches drawn.
These teams last met in the 2018/19 Champions League with Bayern winning 2-0 in Lisbon (below) before cruising to a 5-1 victory at home.
Players to watch
The incredible Robert Lewandowski already has 18 goals to his name this season and there's little point backing him for anytime scorer as it's a best 13/25 with Unibet. Serge Gnabry (below) has been posting impressive numbers as well, with 10 goals from 17 games, and heads into this clash off the back of a weekend double.
