Bayern Munich can guarantee themselves a spot in the last 16 with a win on Wednesday, while Union Saint-Gilloise need to win both of their remaining matches to at least have a chance of progressing to the next stage.
This is Bayern Munich’s world and everyone else is just living in it. The Bavarians are having a sensational season on all fronts, losing only once in 28 fixtures, when they met Arsenal in an earlier round of the Champions League.
Instead of slowing down, Vincent Kompany’s side appears to be in its best shape since the start, scoring 22 goals across their last five competitive fixtures. Few teams have been able even to win a point against the Bavarians, and USG could become one of the many who suffered humiliating defeats at their hands.
The Belgian champions had a couple of famous nights beating Turkish champions Galatasaray and Dutch champions PSV, but remain out of the Top 24 with two games to play.
The remaining four fixtures, however, saw them concede three or more goals in each, which is a discouraging thought ahead of a match with arguably the best team in the world.
How the bookies view it: Only one possible winner
If you are looking for value in betting on the obvious favourite, you will not find it in this matchup. The Bavarians are on a completely different level, and bookmakers are ruling out any chance of anything other than a resounding victory.
Bayern Munich are currently available at a meaningless 1/10, while Union Saint-Gilloise are priced at 18/1. Even a draw offers extreme odds, available at 11/1.
Recent head-to-head: The Bavarians have a brand new target
This is the visitors' debut season in the Champions League, as they had not won the Belgian title for 90 years until last season. It is therefore entirely logical that this will be the first meeting between the two teams.
The Bavarians have nothing to worry about, as they have won eight of their nine matches against Belgian teams at the Allianz Arena in the past.
Players to watch: Diaz and Olise are inhumanely good
You can't go wrong with any of Bayern Munich's top players in a clash like this, where many goals and an easy victory are expected. The odds for Harry Kane are a bit meaningless, so we'd rather put our trust in Luis Diaz or Michael Olise.
The Colombian has been involved in seven goals in his last five games for Bayern (G2, A5), while the young Frenchman has been involved in nine (G4, A5). Both have been sensational and deserve to be in the spotlight.

Probable line-ups
Bayern Munich: Neuer, Guerreiro, Upamecano, Tah, Ito, Kimmich, Pavlovic, Olise, Karl, Gnabry, Kane
Union Saint-Gilloise: Scherpen, Mac Allister, Burgess, Leysen, Niang, Zorgane, Perre, Khalaili, Giger, Hadj, David
Anything else catch the eye?
It is shocking to see 13/20 for Over 3.5 goals when Bayern Munich have at least four goals in four of their last five fixtures. Moreover, USG already conceded 4+ on multiple occasions in the CL this season.
Therefore, you can either go for the regular Over 3.5, or opt for the higher odds for Bayern Munich to score 4+ goals at 21/20.
Statistically, we also like Under 10.5 corners, which is available at 11/20. USG have had fewer than 11 corners in all of their last eight fixtures, while the Bavarians had fewer in 8/9 matches. The visitors are unlikely to have many chances, so we don’t expect them to add any corners to the total.
