Fresh from an impressive midweek win over Feyenoord, Ajax welcome PSV Eindhoven to the Johann Cruyff Arena for an Eredivisie fixture on Saturday. The Amsterdam side have truly hit their stride lately and with PSV looking imperious all season, they could be set to cancel each other out.
Ajax head into Saturday’s clash off the back of a 2-0 victory over Feyenoord in a midweek Eredivisie fixture. They struck both goals in the first half through Kenneth Taylor and Jorrel Hato and were able to hold on for the win
That result extends Ajax’s impressive unbeaten run as they last tasted defeat in August. Francesco men have won their last five matches across all competitions and are also maintaining a 100% record at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
PSV Eindhoven are also coming off a win as they eased to a 6-0 victory over PEC Zwolle last time out in the Eredivisie. They fully took advantage of a red card to the visitors with Ricardo Pepi netting a brace while Noa Lang and Johan Bakayoko were also on target.
It has been an imperious start to the season for PSV, who are maintaining a 100% Eredivisie record after 10 matches. However, Peter Bosz’s men are a bit unconvincing at the back away from home having kept just one clean sheet in their last five Eredivisie matches on the road.

Probable line-ups
It was a fine performance from Ajax on Wednesday and the manager is likely to stick with much of the same team. Josip Sutalo should line up at the heart of defence, with Jordan Henderson set to feature in midfield while Weghorst should lead the line once again.
PSV are without Ivan Perisic, Jerdy Schouten and Herving Lozano, who are all sidelined with injury. Johan Bakayoko is likely to come in for Perisic while de Jong is set to start in attack after coming off the bench last time out.
