We're a third of the way through the 2024/25 season, so there's no excuse for form anymore. The good teams are good, but the bad ones?
Well, they're really bad. The NFC North is the first division since 1970 to have every team with at least four wins after six games of the year. The early slate features the 5-0 Vikings against the 4-1 Lions. Will the Vikings remain undefeated, or will they be toppled by Detroit?
The late slate has the best matchup of the day, though, as the San Francisco 49ers host the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs, who are coming off their bye week. These two are the lowest priced in the Super Bowl betting and fought for the Lombari in February, with the Chiefs coming out on top. Will the 49ers get their revenge?
First, though, it's the final London game of the year, and it's not a good one.

New England Patriots +6.5 vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Drake Maye starting his second NFL game definitely makes this game more interesting than it would have been as he was at least able to put up some points last week against the Texans and his mobility helped behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league.
It adds a little value to the pass-catchers there, and you'll be getting some good odds on TD scorers this week if you manage to pick one. For me, I'll be looking at the 15/2 on Kayshon Boutte after the second-year player scored last week. A more sensible bet, though, is Rhamondre Stevenson, who looks like he's good to go after a recent injury. He's around 15/8 for a score.
The Jaguars could be leaving their head coach in London if they lose again this week. They dropped to 1-5 with a horrible performance against the Bears last weekend. They've spent the week over here, so there's no excuse for the constant drops that plighted their offense last weekend. They couldn't catch, and the defense couldn't stop anything.
I'm not convinced anything will change this week, though. Without Travis Etienne, who left last week with an injury, you're looking at Tank Bigsby and D'Ernest Johnson to carry the load. Tank is the lowest-priced scorer at 13/8. My choice for a TD scorer on their side, though, would be Brian Thomas Jr., at the same 13/8 on PaddyPower. He dropped one last week, but he is the most explosive WR on the roster.
I actually like the Over this week. I think the defenses are the worst units on the field. If I had to pick a side, I'd be taking the Patriots to get the points.
Best spread: Detroit Lions +1.5 @ Vikings
It's the biggest game of the early slate, and I think the bookies have gotten it wrong. I appreciate that it's in Minnesota, and they're unbeaten in this one, but I think the Lions are the better side. They are rolling after two 40-point games in a row as they stomped on the Cowboys last weekend. David Montgomery has scored a rushing TD in every game this season as part of the best 1-2 punch in the league with Jamhyr Gibbs and they seem unstoppable at the moment.
Jared Goff gets to play another game inside which is his happy place, while he doesn't do well with the blitz in general, his OL and run game will help negate that and the deep shots to Jameson Williams keep working.
The Vikings will be able to put up points especially with the Lions missing star DE Aiden Hutchinson for the remainder of the year, but I think the Lions will out-last them and win by a touchdown, so give me them getting points.
Best total: Chiefs vs 49ers u47
I've said it for a while now, the Chiefs are a defense-first team and I don't see that changing as they come into this one still beaten up on offense and facing a stout 49ers team which is especially strong at linebacker, a position which should be able to slow down Travis Kelce in the middle of the field.
The Chiefs defense has been elite this year, not allowing a 50-yard rusher against them at all. If they can slow down the 49ers' run game, then you're putting it in the hands of Brock Purdy. While he's good, I don't think he can do it against the best, and this Chiefs defense is one of the best.
Best TD scorer: Drake London – 6/5 (PaddyPower)
It usually makes sense to target the game with the highest total and that's where I'm looking this weekend as the Falcons host the Seahawks. This should be a back-and-forth affair and while the Falcons run game has been very good in recent weeks with both Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier moving the ball well I'm looking at the connection between Kirk Cousins and his star wide receiver.
Drake London had 33% of the targets last weekend, his highest of the year. He's been targeted on 42% of his routes inside the red zone, the highest number in the NFL, and that should continue against a Seahawks defense missing a couple of its key men in the secondary.
Longshot: Josh Wylie – Tennesee Titans – 16/1 (PaddyPower)
I thought he'd be involved a little more last weekend, but he only had a couple of targets in a DOA Titans offense, but this week they've made a move to Mason Rudolph as Will Levis is “injured” (yeah, that's code for dropped).
When a backup QB comes in, he tends to target the players he's comfortable with, the ones he's been training with, and that's usually the second-string. Wylie is a big lad who can get free in the redzone, at 16/1 I'll take a shot.
Best player prop – Tee Higgins o5.5 receptions – 5/4
I am a Bengals fan, so have the ‘pleasure' of watching every minute of their games and one thing I can tell you is that Joe Burrow is very good this year. A large part of him moving the offense is keeping the ball safe by taking the easier option, so while Ja'Marr Chase draw the better coverage and usually the safety, it's Tee Higgins getting one-on-one coverage
With the strength of his hands he'll take that every day of the week to move the chains. He's had 3-6-9 and seven receptions in games this year, so while the line has ticked up to 5.5 now, I still think it will go over in this one.
