IT'S the last day of the month and we'll do well to find a better or more profitable game than Friday night's Dundee United v Dundee extravaganza.
Fans of both clubs have waited almost four years for a league derby and boy did the game live up to expectations.
It was a sizzler from the start and good to see so many profit from Dundee United's 6-2 win. Greg had two winners from three selections on the Tangerines game, SlipsTips went one better with three from three on his match preview and Dundee United were on my winning 14-5 double with over 2.5 goals at ICT v Morton, Incidentally that's 35 match goals in Morton's last seven.
In the Daily Record my Super Single was Lawrence Shankland to score but I took more risk on the site with Shankland to score first. The Top Treble needed another goal in the Metz-PSG game but still a night of decent profit.

Quite a few games were “ticking the bill” for goals this weekend but none more so than the impressive stats of Luton v Huddersfield. Luton have seen 14 games in a row at home all see over 1.5 goals and they themselves have scored in all 14 of them. Just remarkable tbh. Huddersfield are rubbish tbh but they do like to concede and give us money that way with no win in 7 and 8 out of last 9 seen them over 1.5 goals. Luton great home record and Huddersfield manager less and I often don’t bet against them in the championship but with the price for home win and the duffing given to Cardiff and Barnsley already I just simply can’t refuse Luton at 1/1 to score over 1.5 team goals plus the 2up offer if backed them to win at 21/20.

The Hammers welcome the canaries in this afternoon match and I think this should be one goal-laden match.
SInce their opening day home defeat against City West Ham have scored 6 goals in their last 3 matches(2 goal average). Last season they scored in 13 of their 19 home matches last season a total of 32 goals(2.4 goal average), but they conceded on 15 occasions. Norwich(and Pukki of course) have scored in all their league matches this season, as a matter of fact the Canaries have been on a good away league scoring run going as far back as November last year scoring in back to back away matches since then(15 matches in total).
All of Norwich’s league matches have gone over 3.5 goals while over 2.5 goals has paid out in 2 of West Ham’s 3 league matches this season, the only exception being the 1-1 draw iwth Brighton away which could easily covered the over 2.5 goals card on another day.
Another pick I like for this match is for Pukki to score first. The Finnish striker has taken the league by storm scoring 5 goals in his first 3 matches in the Premier league scoring in the first half on 2 of those occasions. I think there may be some value in this bet since the Hammers are yet to register a goal from open play in the first half. Plus Pukki has scored the first goal in 4 of his last 6 competitive matches for club and country.

After my 5 am finish yesterday, I realised the wheels had come off the bus in my overs challenge.
I picked out 3 games – all Dutch, 2 of them were goal fests and last season or two’s Top Oss joined my C&*T list along with their opponent. There was a late interruption to the game 3/4 into the match, possibly that upset the flow of the match but it delivered a dreaded 0-0. Dutch football is typically one of the most nailed on countries for goals – along with Scandinavian matches. Before I drew up my final three ( of which I recommended you pick only 2 ), I’d also mentioned I was looking at French footie. To rub salt in the wounds, EVERY official French game played yesterday had at least a goal in it.
My late finish to my busy day impacted the start of today and thus I was unable to add my pre-match thoughts on their trip to Brentford.
I/We knew a trip to Brentford could really put the pressure on Cocu to earn back some credibility after being hammered 3 nil away to Forest mid-week in the cup. Had we played any other team and lost with 10 changes to get an early exit from the cup, the fans would accept it. But 3500 Derby fans clearly knew the importance of any game against Forest, league or meaningless cup. Forest owned us and beat us at a canter, but the long game suggested Cocu was resting players ahead of the trip to Brentford. We’re in a run of tricky games that doesn’t stop until a couple more are played.
I’d of advised on a Derby double result because Cocu’s resting of players mid-week would have to bare some fruit to re-enforce his early team selection.
Brentford again made it look easy. Little to no service up front, their attacking threat of the 3 looked dangerous and not until a formation changes and the 2nd half introduction of Holmes did Derby look like creating anything. It ended 3 nil to Brentford and they deserved it. The double 3 nil result without reply in 5 days says it all.
Our midfield isn’t working, our new signings are not showing enough quality and consistency and I think we also have a goalkeeper issue now that Carson has left to warm Man City’s bench.
