WHAT is it about Saturdays? After a week of winners all over the site Saturday produces another series of blanks.
That's three Saturdays in a row I've struggled – and the last two I've followed with good Sunday success so that will be the aim again. Closest I came was Motherwell beating the Scottish btts treble and Bournemouth downing the English one.
I can afford the 5pt loss on the accumulators but the two Super Single losers was disappointing and I hope to address that over the next couple of days.
I was at the football in Fife (another loser) so I'm not 100 per cent sure but I don't think there was a winner from the main tipsters. Anyone who made a profit – well done.
My only success was with Valencia on the betting club and I later added Ajax for bet No.5 and that won too. Bet No.6 in the £10 to £1000 challenge was Lazio to score 2+ at Benevento and they did so inside 13 minutes – Bet No.7 is likely to be posted soon.
On Sunday there is another busy card highlighted by Brighton v Southampton and Leicester v Everton in the Premier League. I can see wins for Brighton and Leicester but not convinced enough to back either.
A couple of the games I like are early and I'm putting up a Super Single treble as that's my priority today. To get it above evens I've gone for Napoli, Lazio and Lyon all to win with over 1.5 match goals.
Lazio have won seven in a row, scoring 22 goals, and face Benevento who are the first time in Serie A history to lose their first 10 games and have a goal average of 3-24.
Napoli have won nine and drawn one out of 10 league games and should win well at home to Sassuolo who recently crashed 6-1 at Lazio.
And finally Lyon, whose only defeat was to PSG, face basement boys Metz who have one win and nine defeats. This one finished 5-0 to Lyon last season.
My Top Treble starts with another early game and PSV are a decent price, a best 4-5 at Marathonbet, considering they'vewon five in a row in the league and netted 20 goals.
They travel to Vitesse where they've won their last four and while the home men sit fourth – six points behind leaders PSV – four of their five league wins this season have come on the road.
Add Sampdoria who have a 100 per cent Serie A home record for the visit of Chievo and complete with Celta Vigo not to lose at Malaga.
Celta have won three away games in row, scoring 11, and face a side still to win in La Liga. Malaga have won three in a row against Vigo but have been dire this season and prop up the table on one point. Celta should win but price is big enough to take double chance for the treble.

I have no idea why Maia is not the favorite in this fight. Yes, he’s getting on abit now and only ever finishes fights via submission, so you can forget him winning this via any other means but he has still won 7 of his last 8 fights, plus hes fighting on home soil here in Brazil. The odds of 3/1 to me is massive. For those that do not follow MMA, Demian Maia is quite simply the greatest submission specialist in UFC history. Decent day yesterday in the A-League for me, with the majority of my bets landing. Hopefully today is more of the same.
Newcastle Jets v Western Sydney Wanderers:
The Jets have been the surprise package so far this year, with two wins and a draw so far, in a year where little was expected of them. They have been impressive in attack with O’Donovan leading the line for them. They’ve lost Vargas to injury heading into this one, but otherwise are looking good.
The Wanderers have looked okay, with two draws and a win in what have been difficult fixtures. Defender Thwaite remains a doubt heading into this.
Both sides have been unable to keep a clean sheet in any of their games, but have also scored in every game thus far. Expect more goals here too!
Central Coast Mariners v Melbourne Victory:
Unlike the previous match, this one features two teams who haven’t been able to win a game as yet. The Mariners have played decent football after their first round shock mauling by the Jets, and have since fought hard in two tough fixtures, only barely losing both of them. Andrew Hoole comes back for them today in what should be a big boost for the side.
Victory have faced the three best sides in the competition in the opening three rounds, so should be looking forwards to picking up a few wins now. They have played okay football for the main part and have no key absentees heading into this one.
Traditionally I would expect Victory to win this one, but I have less faith in them now than in the pre-season. Both teams are desperate for points and to prove themselves, and there are a couple of hotheads in both sides, so I do think cards may be the way to go here.

Hi gents. No joy yesterday when a very well fancied Watford couldn’t muster a goal and downed the BTTS. Today I’m on goals in Switzerland where we have a nice price considering form of both sides. Lugano host Luzern in what should be an open contest. Both sides only have a point each from their last five games, so both sides will be looking for the win. The visitors are a shadow of what they were last season but have a good history at Lugano, going unbeaten in their last six. Both should score here and I’ll risk the extra goal on the total.

The penalty was given past the allotted injury time and then took at least five minutes to sort out with players arguing and not getting out of the way for the pen to be taken
Felt like it was played until Toluca scored but when he took the pen I had a feeling he would miss it and it was saved but he knocked the rebound in. I don’t understand the Mexican commentators so don’t know the reason why, but the goal was ruled out and the game ended. Only thing I can assume is that he blew as soon as the ball came back into play from the keeper, which is ludicrous
Sounds very dodgy if thats the case like you say only reason time went on so long was the arguing as think pen was given around 91mins and felt between 5-8mins before it actually taken but to blow the whistle on a goalscoring chance is harsh. Bets lost either way though il move on bud :)
