There may be matches in the Premier League and La Liga on Monday but arguably Bundesliga II will host match of the day, live on BT Sport 1.

St Pauli v Hamburg isn't just a clash of city rivals but it's a collision of cultures, visions and beliefs. For a bit of background, this piece about the Hamburger Stadtderby is well worth a read. Tolu tries to take a dispassionate view of the game in order to find some betting angles in his match preview where he thinks a share of the points could keep everyone happy.

Atletico got back to winning ways on Sunday to re-establish a five-point lead in La Liga. Real Madrid have the chance to close that gap against Real Sociedad who have won three on the bounce and seem to have recaptured some of their positive early season form. Mark Walker is on the case and he fancies goals in his preview.

In the Premier League, SlipsTips casts his eye over Southampton's visit to Everton and in his own inimitable style has assembled two bet builder tips that focus on cards.

Sunday's Horse Racing Tips

Alan Thomson's two Sunday bets did the business and he has a trio of recommended wagers at Wolverhampton on Monday

22/1 Winner (and more) for The Caddy

Shout-out to The Caddy who's 22/1 headline tip, Branden Grace won the Puerto Rican Open. He said of Grace, “he seems to be a cut above the rest here this week and with all the world's top golfers in Florida”, and he was 100% correct about the South African who won the $½million purse.

Andrew Putnam tipped at 36/1 also landed each-way money with a T5th place. And as if that wasn't enough his NAP of Brandon Wu to beat Ollie Schneiderjans in a 72-hole match but also won at 10/11.

Victor Hovland almost made it a perfect weekend in Florida but he fell three strokes short at the Workday Championship to finish T2 – still some profitable money at 25/1 each-way. That runner-up finish also comfortably landed The Caddy's other NAP of Victor Hovland to finish in the Top 20 at 10/11.

What a weekend for The Caddy! Well played sir!

    Everton v Southampton
    Everton to win at 21/20*****(NAP)
Everton come in to this game off the back of a win at Anfield (can’t believe i’m saying that haha) and will be looking to add to that tonight.Southampton have been on a poor run and it gets worse for them as their influential player Oriul Romeu is ruled out for the rest of the season, add to that Minamino,Walcott,Kyle walker peters are all out and it really does make this a tough gig for the visitors.
Everton’s home form isn’t the greatest where they have won only 4 of their last 12 games but with the influential player Allan back from injury Everton to me look to have to much for Southampton and at a attractive price i’m willing to take them on.It’s been a poor weekend so hoping for a good start to the month.
    Best of luck

Just an update re yesterday’s Bet365 farce after all 3 of the Icelandic bets landed.

It would seem that they are using the fact that they had listed the incorrect home/away side order therefore voided all bets before kick off only to re-open the markets shortly afterwards.

They CAN do that because they can do whatever they want but it wasn’t a great PR move for punters.

If you are getting in touch with them, you may want to state that the game wasn’t played at either teams ground!

Rather, it was played at the communal covered winter stadium Egilshöll in Reykjavik thus negating any possible home advantage that could have impacted prices whichever way they had home/away teams prioritised.

Also worth mentioning that other bookies DID pay out on the game and saw no need to void…especially so close to kick off.

    Good luck 😉

These companies are all the same it’s an individual who decides what goes recently the WASHINGTON WIZARDS were playing and the bets offered for RUSSELL WESTBROOK is that he gets a triple double and the Wizards win
And Also a Double Double for the same player same conditions
Well Westbrook did get the triple double.. meaning the double double also went through
But they refused to pay the DOUBLE DOUBLE
But payed the Triple Triple…who are you kidding?
You get to double first before the triple
      Looking for an alternative company

      3
    • HullShaker 3 years ago

The customer service is well noted for receiving a lot of criticism but I’ve always liked them for the range of obscure markets and leagues they offer.

Unfortunately for them, other bookies are now offering a very similar (if not better) breadth of markets/games and I’d predict there popularity (and subsequently profits) will continue to decline especially as we leave lockdown and high street branches reopen.

Think they are all as bad as each other , have seen some shockers from all the big names. Hence why it’s so satisfying to use this site to keep taking money off them all 😅
This has happened to me with home/away ties with friendlies more often than not but their tactics yesterday were underhand – hopefully they pay out what they are due to 👀

    • old al 3 years ago

As pointed out before they moved to Gibraltar about a year ago and have been going down hill ever since.

    • bullseye 3 years ago

I’m sure as others can testify as well, when you really start winning they begin a process of slowing your momentum. Last November the Grand Slam of Darts coincided with the International window and I found it so easy to create mixed darts & football doubles especially with the crap U21 teams playing – I was on a run that hit 5 digits and then suddenly they began getting arsey from out of nowhere… started getting series of emails, temporary 4 day restrictions, requests to prove my income, week long restrictions 😠 So frustrating when you have researched and planned out bets. By then end of November they told me to withdraw my winnings and closed down my account.

The way they behave is not a good look but as Hull alluded to they simply cannot be topped for leagues and markets. Their in-play Asian lines (corner or goals) provide punters with some of the easiest ways to win and not lose as the risk is reduced. Fortunately I’m back with them now; was a massive ball-ache to bypass the security measures they employ there – had to buy a new tablet, install a VPN and essentially use an account opened by my pal who doesn’t bet. Must say Skybet are very good as well, I use them frequently but Paddypower, since the pandemic have regressed IMO.

      5
    • Footiefan77 3 years ago

Try and use the Betfair Exchange for WDW and goal markets. Usually offer best odds. Commission is a slow as 2% on your winnings.

But for corners etc then it is difficult as bookies restrict your account when you start winning which is so frustrating.

Complained to b365 re void bet, using neutral venue as complaint. Received my “winnings” as bet credits, not ideal i know but better than nothing

    • chelseagirl 3 years ago

Go on Wikipedia and see how much the owners of B365 are worth. They will not give a skunks ass about any punters winging or profit margins dropping. The candy is already made. Thats the game thats the way it is.

    • HullShaker 3 years ago

WeeGuy – I’ve had a series of communications back and forth regarding 365s decisions yesterday and glad to say it looks like they are listening…albeit via free bet credits for winnings.

Their argument was shot when I pointed out that the communal venue negated their original ‘pricing’ error!

Chelseagirl – I have you wrong on a couple of things there:

      1. Nobody’s whingeing – just trying to justify the rationale behind a wrongly voided bet and redeem genuine winnings.

      2. Believe me, any company is incredibly worried about profit margins dropping – as it is, the Coates have made (literally) billions but they still rely on customers to keep the revenue from dropping.

      3. They DO give a ‘skunks ass’ about punters as proven here if you can justify your cause…they just aren’t very good at it 😂

      Excelsior vs Ajax II
      Eerste Divisie 🇳🇱
      Monday 1st March, 17:45 ⏰

Excelsior have scored In 10 of their 12 home games this season.
Excelsior have conceded in 9 of their 12 home games this season.
Both teams to score has landed in 7 of Excelsior’s home games.

Ajax have scored in 10 of their 12 away games this season.
Ajax have kept only a solitary clean sheet in their 12 away games this season.
Both teams to score has landed In 9 of their 12 away games.

2 sides who score and concede plenty meet here in a league known for goals. Could’ve went with overs but both sides should find the net here.

    • GregMacLean4 3 years ago

      NAC Breda vs OSS
      Eerste Divisie
      Monday 1st March , 20:00 ⏰

Nac have the 4th best home record in the league this season.
Nac have won 8 of their 12 home games this season.
Nac have won 5 out of 6 home games against sides in the bottom half this season.

Oss have lost 6 of their last 7 games including their last 3 away.
Oss have lost 7 of their 12 away games this season.
Oss have lost 6 out of 9 against top half sides this season.

4th placed Nac Breda come into this game winning their last 4 meanwhile Oss have lost 6 of their last 7. Going by each other’s respective home and away form, Nac should have enough in them to defeat 14th placed Oss.

    Very small stakes:

Afghanistan v Zimbabwe Test Cricket Series

Zimbabwe are 33-1 to win the series at Bet365. 👌

Zimbabwe are a former test nation and Afghanistan are missing a few spinners. Afghanistan should still win at home but are far too short.

Bet365 recently priced West Indies to beat Bangladesh at 25-1 which was a huge mistake.

    Everton vs Southampton

Don’t have time for write up however this is the thoughts for Everton vs Southampton

Stuart Armstrong to have at least 1 shot on target 15/8 NAP NAP NAP with Paddy Power

this price is HUGE if he plays. Other bookies only offering 21/20.

Watched him at Dundee Utd, Celtic and Southampton and the runs he can make going forward are superb. This price is too high.

Everton played well vs Liverpool. Thought Coleman was outstanding. Skybet offering 5/4 for just a shot? Just 1 shot? Doesn’t even need to be on target…. mmmm… I like I like!

NAP – Stuart Armstrong 15/8 shot on target – Paddy Power – 1 point
    NB – Seamus Coleman 5/4 for 1 shot – skybet – 1 point

Surely I cannot be only person that thinks both bets have potential?!

    8
    • Footiefan77 3 years ago

      Hey Planner.

Going by the stats Armstrong should be 8-1. He has only only had 1 shot on target in 9 away games. Even at home he has only 4 shots on target in 11 games.

Also Coleman has had 5 shots this season in 15 games. So statistically he averages 1 in 3 games so 2-1 should be about right.

I find bookies make a lot of money when punters back shots on goals as their odds are so poor. If you remember even Sky specials don’t always come in even though they say 1/6 is boosted to even for a star player to have a shot on target.

      6
    • ThePlanner 3 years ago

Coleman not in squad – Armstrong looks like in deep holding midfield role with ward-prowse.

      15/8 not looking too good now….. :(

Not a huge selection today game wise but have picked out something with longer odds for a small stake.

    Double @ 4.2/1 (skybet) ❌
Excelsior vs Jong Ajax 5+corners each team
    GAIS vs Malmö BTTS

Madrid leave it late but not complaining , small stake double let down by the 2 teams I didn’t expect. Good card tomorrow 👌

    Side bets
