Xavi has said there will be some rotation, and they have a cup final on Saturday. Also, if al duhail don’t beat al gharafa then al sadd can win the league today so if they go a couple up they will probably decide that’s enough to win them the title AND be able to rest players for the final. as ive highlighted above, its best waiting for team news for al sadd and even then there might not be much value in taking anything so for todays NAP im returning to saudi and for the NB its italy and denmark for 2 teams who absolutely need 3 pts to keep their title hopes alive.
first up saudi- highlighted al shabab brilliant recent form both in the wdw and goals market last week and took them as my NAP on weds only for them to start off the bet well by leading 1-0 at ht then fall flatter than a witches tit by conceding 2 second half goals to go down 1-2, and on further inspection it wasnt really a shock to see a team net against them- theyve conceded 24 goals in 19 league games despite being top. looking further into their games this season a whopping 14 of the 19 have seen btts with 11 of those going over 2.5mgs and today they host 3rd placed al ahli with a similar sort of record, 11/19 have seen btts including their last 5 games so for me it would be a surprise if theres not goals today. btts looks likely but is very short at 4/7 as a single (fine for an acca tho) but im hoping that between them they can find another 1.
NB takes in the juve and copenhagen games, not often ill overlook a home team in favour of an away side and i swithered about brugge as well but with a huge lead in the league and an important EL 2nd leg on thursday im plumping for the danes alongside juve. Recent form augurs well for their part of this bet, theyve won their last 6 matches scoring 2+ in all of them and drew the match before 2-2 as well. Theyve conceded a fair amount of goals in those games as well, 2+ in 5 of the 7 as well as 1 in another game so its just team goals for this one as ive mentioned about the amount of 2-2s ive backed recently when being on the win/o1.5tgs double. The other part from italy sees juve take on bottom dogs crotone, with an 11 point gap to leaders inter there really is no margin for error for the men from turin and they should be winning this comfortably. Going for them just to score 2+ was a bit skinny to add into the double so ive looked for another angle that has landed in 4 out the last 5 of juves home matches and thats them to net in both halves. im thinking this match should be maybe 4-0 to ronaldo and co and if it plays out like that then i like the chances of the goals being shared between the halves. Pogacar is favourite here and rightly so but at 2/5 I feel he is abit short now which gives us the value in Almeida.
Pogacar was always going to be favourite after winning Tour de France and also riding for team UAE but with the only time trial on the tour out of the way and only 4 seconds between Pogacar and Almeida 9/2 is a big price IMO.
