IT was a strange weekend all-round with no UK football but things look like they'll get back to normal tomorrow with the resumption of Football League matches in the Championship, League One and League Two as well as matchday two in the UEFA Champions League.
Looking ahead to this week's European action there are a few teams that catch they eye and could be worth getting on at early prices…
- Barcelona (15/4) – Robert Lewandowski's retun to Munich will dominate the headlines and you wouldn't put it past him to find the net once more at the Allianz at a cracking looking 11/8. Bayern have toiled at times so far this season (3 draws in opening 6 Bundesliga matches) and it could be written for the Pole to mark his return with a goal.
- Napoli (3/4) – The Italians tore Liverpool apart in Naples last week and if they reach those levels of performance in Glasgow on Tuesday they should be too good for Rangers who are going through a mini-crisis at the moment.
- Erling Haaland (15/2) – Haaland can't stop himself from scoring and that won't change when he comes up against his former club Dortmund on Wednesday. He's just 8/11 to score but it's 15/2 that he grabs his 3rd hat-trick of the season.
- Cluj 23/20 – The Romanians have a strong record at home in Europe and host Turkish side Sivasspor who have yet to record a win in 9 attempts this season.
- Basaksehir 17/10 – It's hard to read too much in their win at Tynecastle last week but they looked strong and welcome Serie A side Fiorentina to Instanbul. The Italians are struggling for goals, having scored just twice in in their last six matches, in which they've drawn five and lost one.
Others worth a bit more research are Spurs away at Sporting at even money, Shaktkar, who thumped RB Leipzig last week, look too big at 11/5 against Celtic, Arsenal to get the better of PSV at home and goals when Norwegian league leaders Molde visit high-flying Djurgarden.
We don't have much to get involved in today but Gabriel has previewed Empoli v Roma from Seria tonight, which is live on BTSport 1.

Many long established & respected tipsters DO post updates on their predictions, as the majority of site users find it useful to see how accurate a tipster’s predictions are AFTER the event (i.e. is the particular person on a “hot” or “cold” streak)
It’s also appreciated when pundits provide a monthly/quarterly account of how much they are in profit/loss over a period (off the top of my head, I know Greg & the Caddy do this – and many others do too)
The problem with many sites like ours is some mentally challenged people create loads of different user accounts. They then post lots of random “tips” – usually at huge odds. If everyone posted updates on their predictions, this wouldn’t happen.
To illustrate the point, there’s a bald bloke in Ireland using this exact technique to get gullible people to pay him for his “insider tips”. This only works in the shortey-term though – once people have lost a few hundred quid backing his “tips”, they usually realise they’ve been had.
I got my ticket for Arsenal vs Psv emailed from ticketmaster just this morning so fingers cross its going ahead, have abit of travelling to do as going from Belfast.
They will announce it some time today what games will and won’t go ahead so keep an eye out!

My first thought was Empoli (DC 2.1) today given the fact they are at home, Romas current form and their injuries (six players out including El Shaarawy, Wijnaldum and Zaniolo) but I just have the feeling that Mourinho will be able to hype his team up and secure the three points.
So, I’ve gone a bit safer (I think) and have backed Den Bosch (Eerste Divisive) at DC 2.0 (although I noticed the odds are dropping on them.
They have started poorly, but normally do well against Jong PSV and finished above them last season. Jong PSV have three players injured (Den Bosch have a full side to choose from).
Basically both teams have had a poor start and I think at 2.0 it’s great value for Den Bosch to get at least a draw from the game.
If 2.0 is too low for you, then you could take 3.2 for DNB. No reason why they couldn’t also pick up all three points.
