It's another truncated week in Scottish football with international games meaning a limited card again.

But there are still plenty of lower league games to enjoy and Dumbarton could be the pick of the bunch at 7/5 with McBookie.com at home to Forfar Athletic.

The Sons seem to be two different sides at the moment – excellent at home and dismal on the road.

Well, they are at home this weekend and can make it four home league wins at The Rock out of the five games they have played.

The Sons have beaten Clyde, Elgin City and Spartans at home and they seem to enjoy their new pitch at the windswept ground.

Forfar's last trip away from Angus saw them lose 5-1 in the capital to Spartans and they have yet to win on their travels in the league this season.

And they could be set for more away day misery at Dumbarton.

Elgin City vs Clyde predictions

Clyde are an interesting price for their trip to Elgin City with McBookie.com at 15/8.

The Bully Wee sit on top of League Two after an impressive recent run in the league where they have won four and drawn the other two in their last six games.

It's true the two games they dropped points were away from home but they are scoring plenty of goals too.

Elgin may have won their last two Challenge Cup games, but in the league – where it really matters – they have now lost their last three matches.

Indeed, their last league game at Borough Briggs saw them crash to a 5-1 home defeat to Stranraer.

Clyde are a good shout for promotion this year and to do that, they need to go to places like Elgin and win.

Airdrie vs Montrose predictions

Montrose look a decent price at 9/4 with McBookie.com to win at Airdrie in League One.

Their manager Stewart Petrie is the longest-serving in Scotland now and he's got them up to third place in the table after a brilliant run of five league wins in a row.

The Gable Endies have scored at least two goals in every one of those wins and are going great guns.

Airdrie have enjoyed a couple of hammerings in the Challenge Cup against non-league sides, but have won just once in the league this season.

And Montrose look too big for their trip to Lanarkshire.
