Scottish football's title chase has reached fever pitch and the midweek fixtures could go a long way to deciding the winners.

And expect Hearts to keep up their end of the bargain by backing both teams to score and a home win against Falkirk.

Derek McInnes' side could only draw at Motherwell on Saturday night and that's opened the door for Celtic who Hearts must visit on the final day of the season.

To make matters worse, two of their key players suffered major injuries when their best defender Craig Halkett and midfielder Marc Leonard were both ruled out for the campaign.

The hosts will be roared on by a sell-out crowd who could generate a fantastic atmosphere – after all, Hearts could clinch the title on Wednesday if they win and Celtic lose at Motherwell.

Falkirk have been brilliant this season to finish in the top six, but Hearts have got them at a good time after four defeats in their last six league matches.

In every one of those losses, they have scored and with a weakened Hearts defence, McBookie.com's 19/10 on a Hearts win and BTTS looks a tempting bet.

Aberdeen vs St Mirren predictions

Aberdeen are ending the season on fire and can seal struggling St Mirren's place in the relegation play-offs with another win at 6/5 with McBookie.com.

Stephen Robinson faces his former club after guiding the Dons to three wins and a draw in their last four league games.

He's done a very decent job in sorting out Aberdeen's notoriously flaky defence and the Dons must be full of confidence after three clean sheets in a row at home.

Saints' form has fallen off a cliff after four league defeats in a row without scoring a goal and they look to be in serious trouble under rookie caretaker Craig McLeish.

Clyde vs Hamilton Accies predictions

Hamilton Accies can win the most bizarre play-off of all time at Clyde in the League One final.

In a quintessentially Scottish football moment, Hamilton play at Broadwood – Clyde's old stadium and the Bully Wee play at New Douglas Park – Accies' former ground.

So they each have an away game at their former home grounds for reasons that would take far too long to explain here!

But despite their many off-field problems, Hamilton look to be too strong for Clyde at 6/5 with McBookie.com in the first leg on Tuesday.

They have won five of their last six games, including home and away victories in the semi-final, play-off and only missing a last minute penalty stopped them from drawing the other game at Inverness.

And they can take a giant step towards remaining in the third tier with a win.
