Mark Walker's Scottish Tips

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH have been flying recently and can propel themselves right into the League One title race with a win against Hamilton Accies.

The Dumfries side have been exiled from the second tier for a couple of seasons, but look to have given themselves a fighting chance of trying to return this term.

The Doonhamers have won three games in a row in all competitions and two of those were in the league against Alloa and Montrose without conceding a goal.

They also put four goals past Championship side Dunfermline in the Challenge Cup and only narrowly lost their Scottish Cup to them in Fife too.

Plenty has been written about the off-field problems of Accies, who were docked another nine points last week after a rule breach.

They have conceded 13 goals in their last four away games in all competitions and a trip to Dumfries may not hold too much appeal.

Hibs vs Hearts prediction

Any notion about Hearts not being title contenders was surely blasted away last week when they completed home and away doubles against the Old Firm with a 2-1 win over Rangers.

They have recovered from a mini-blimp and can hardly be going into the Edinburgh derby with any more confidence, as our preview confirms.

They face a Hibs side who have underachieved after last season's campaign and really should be doing better.

They fail to create enough chances for the possession they enjoy in most games.

Although Hearts will be up against it at Easter Road, they have enough experience and defensive solidity to get the job done at a nice 6/4 with McBookie.com.

Dundee vs Falkirk prediction

Falkirk have the joint third best away record in the league and they can win at Dundee.

The Bairns went a worrying four games without scoring, but they played top teams in that run and returned to winning ways last week with a success at Kilmarnock.

John McGlynn's side have won four out of nine games away from home and look a stronger unit than a Dundee side, who look doomed to struggle this term.

Steven Pressley's side have marginally improved recently, but Falkirk should have too much for them at McBookie.com's price of 29/20.
