I was glad to get back to normal on Wednesday as the highlighted Electric Eddy went and won whilst the selected runner bombed. I've had even more of a nightmare in my personal life and that continues – all is well but I was unable to devote more than an hour to the study.

Attacanter Racing Tips

Yuvraaj 9/1 EW- 16.25 Newcastle

The unraced Yuraaj warrants a chance despite the shape of the market.

Marco Botti is a very well respected in these races and I am willing to overlook a fair few short priced runners to take our chance today.

If I am aware of Marco Botti's abilty, I am sure the marker makers are but I have seen plenty of big priced runners from the yard, including the impressive Giavellotto at 100/1.

It's reassuring to see when checking the stats my view holds up, he has a 3rd, two 2nds and two 1sts with his 2yo's at this track, Magic Fluke went in at 22s.

He does has one other runner that it would be really annoying to see do the better of the two, but it is extremely hard to advise.

Elsewhere Tom Marquand rides a previous winner for Botti, in a race the trainer had won the previous year, Magico in the 16:10 at Doncaster.

King of Bears 10/1 EW – 14.25 Doncaster

Paul and Oliver Cole send two nice horses to Doncaster, they had a winner here last year, Sumo Sam, he runs here again today with a big name jockey booking in James Doyle, he hasn't ridden for the trainer this year so I'll stick with the chancier 2yo, given the trainer's last winner was a 2yo just 3 days ago.

King of Bears was thrown into a 20 runner race at Newbury on debut, finishing a respectable 7th. He then won over the same C&D on Firm going before a total no show last time.

This race is deep enough and an improvement is needed but I was pleased to see Jamie Spencer booked. He has ridden a couple of winners for the trainer, he doesn't get out too often nowadays and we can hope it isn't just for a misely riding fee.

The sire has produced a 2yo winner on both heavy and soft this year so it can't be a concern and some kind of yard form is a bonus.

Beauty Nation 10/1 EW – 13:50 Doncaster

This Sioux Nation filly takes to turf for the first time at a big price for the well respected George Boughey/Billy Loughnane combination.

With a 1st and 2nd to her name from her start on the AW, there is still a bit to take on trust. The one in behind did come in next time but besides that, there isn't much to say. Next time when stepped up to 7f, she was an eight length 2nd, which is clearly not ideal in this field.

I've been impressed with Emma Lavelle's flat campaign whilst some big names with wins to their name are amongst the market leaders, we require a bit of fortune but the trainer did have one for the owners here last year, albeit at a much shorter price.

Hodler 10/1 EW – 14.35 Epsom

Jim Boyle often has a decent runner for this card, his only two here this year are in the same race, they've finished 1-2 here before, Pat Cosgrave on Marlay Park took my interest initially but I am going to chance the badly out of sorts Hodler at twice the price.

Given Marlay Park appeals more on paper and has a fair bit less to prove, it may be yet another case of compiling the bet with unnecessary risks but the claimer is very much respected putting the horse around 9lbs below marks he was performing well off just last year.

I am firm believer in horses being readied for a day, or time period, it certainly may not be the case in this instance but my point is, a bad run of form can easily be for reasons other than the horse is genuinely just struggling to compete.

The recent course form is somewhat alarming but the softer the better for this horse and the rating as mentioned can see a surprise sprung, taking the Jim Boyle angle may be barking completely up the wrong tree but as no one is twisting you arm, he's included.

*Advised Bet – Eachway L15*

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
