Rizz was due to return for Sunday's racing, but he remains unwell. Cairnzy will stay in charge until his return on Sunday evening.
I apologise for no selections yesterday as I concentrated solely on the meeting at Leopardstown, which has now been moved to Monday. I was quietly confident that it would go ahead, but it appears I was totally wrong, and as a result, we had no selections yesterday.
Rizz will have his own selections, I am sure, for Monday, but if he doesn't touch the Irish Arkle, which I don't think he will, he might throw up my write-up on Kargese underneath his own for anyone interested!
Rock My Way 9/4 – Musselburgh 3.05
The better-quality racing is over in Ireland at Leopardstown, but my main fancy of the day comes from Musselburgh in the shape of the Joe Tizzard-trained Rock My Way.
Carrying top weight is never ideal, particularly over these marathon trips, but I think Rock My Way has it in the locker to do just that.
I thought my selections brought some good form to this contest with the pick of the bunch being his creditable second in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham in March. The eventual winner of that contest was Haiti Couleurs, who has since gone on to win three more races, and it is now rated 159.
Rock My Wat also won the Berkshire National at Ascot in November, doing so quite easily when staying on strongly in the business end to win by a whopping 11L. Possible dangers look to be Gronzi, who arrives on the back of a win at Kelso over 4m back in December but a 5lb rise asks further questions of him.
