Lucky 15 racing tips

I already mentioned on the main thread that the quality of racing on Sunday is woeful, so finding selections for this Sunday's lucky 15 bet was quite a struggle.

Given the poor quality on show and lack of meetings on offer, I've opted to roll the dice with selections at bigger odds and advise this Sunday's bet as an each-way play.

Bergamo Gold 7/1 – Chelmsford 1.37

Bet365 is offering an extra place for this contest so I opted to have a play on the Charlie Johnson-trained Bergamo Gold. I think Aneirin's Sword is a worthy favourite for this contest, but she doesn't look bulletproof to be considered a 6/4 shot.

My selection didn't finish too far behind the second favourite for this contest in Thanh Nam when the pair met recently at Wolverhampton. My selection came into trouble while running, and her finishing position could have been a whole lot closer had she had a clearer passage.

Silky Robin 9/1 – Chelmsford 2.37

My second selection is the Brian Toomey trained Silky Robin. Silky Robin comes with clear risks given his AW form currently stands at 0-15, and most of his wins have come over 5f and 6f rather than tomorrow's distance of 7f.

With that said, the handicapper has started to be a tad lenient and he looks capable of winning or at least being involved in a race of this nature.

Little Miss Magic 11/1 – Chelmsford 4.07

When it came to finding an eachway angle for this race, I found it quite a struggle. I narrowed it down between Little Miss Magic and Man On A Mission, but finally decided on Little Miss Magic, who simply looks in better nick at present, despite Man On A Mission being a previous multiple sprint winner on the AW in the past.

My selection was last seen finishing a creditable third at this course last time out. I thought that was a fair enough effort given she had to take a wide route into the straight and kept all well to finish just over 1L behind the eventual winner. Isobelle Chalmers retains the ride again and claims her usual 7lb.

Bet 365 again offering 3 places rather than two for this contest.

Jupiter Du Gite 9/1 – Navan 3.20

I thought Jupiter Du Gite was of interest for trainer Tom Hogan. My selection was most recently trained in Britain by Gary & Josh Moore but switched hands to Hogan in December of last year.

My selection seemingly lost his way when trained by the Moore's, but was a decent horse on his day. He hasn't shown much in two runs to date for Hogan but his mark has dropped a dair bit as a result, and Hogan has booked useful claimer Michael Kenneally, who knocks 5lb off his back, making him on a dangerous mark for a race of this nature.
