Kylian 12/1 (4pl) – Ascot 5.20

If I didn't give Kylian one more chance, and then he went on and won, I'd kick myself. For that reason, he's in Saturday's Lucky 15 bet.

I've tipped Kylian up on his last two starts. The run at Newcastle, I think he should have won, which is why he warranted another chance as a selection. Last time out, Jamie Spencer said sack the hold-up tactics and try to make the running. Whether that was the reason for a poor effort, or the previous run came too quickly, who knows.

I think he can win a big race, and I'll be hoping Saturday is that time. He is dropping down the handicap, and with every pound that comes off, the better chance he has. He is now rated 92, and given that he has gone close off 94 in a similar race at this track a couple of years ago, he is surely an each-way player.

Addison Grey 9/1 (6pl) – York 2.00

Like many tracks across the world, some horses take to them, and others don't. York is seen to be a conventional track, but for some odd reason, not every horse enjoys it there. Addison Grey has never run at the track before, so it's a bit of a risk, but he is in tremendous form.

David Probert made a pig's ear out of his run at Salisbury, when he was punted off the boards into 5/6F. He should have won that race at Salisbury, and probably should have done it on the bridle. Probert couldn't find a gap for the entire race, and the horse was beaten into third.

If the same Addison Grey turns up that was at Salisbury, he gives himself a fighting chance in this race. He is 8/1, which is more than generous, and he is a great EW bet for a Lucky 15.

Pride Of Arras 11/2 (2pl) – York 2.35

This selection is not ideal for a Lucky 15, as there are only two places on offer. I just couldn't pass on the chance of him running at his favourite track.

Item won the Dante, but Dante winners don't get up to much (usually), so he has to be taken on. Royal Champion has turned into a Group 1 performer, and won a race of that nature abroad. He carries a Group 1 penalty, which makes life difficult, but he turns up in the same form which won this race last year; he has a very strong chance.

Pride Of Arras has always hinted at having tonnes of ability; he just doesn't always show it. In fact, he only seems to show his true colours at York, where he is 2/2. The shrewdies have got stuck into him and his price has collapsed into 11/2, which is probably the correct price, he should never have been double figures.

 Al Hussar 11/2 (4pl) – Chester 4.23

Grant Tuer went through a patch where he could do no wrong; it looks like it has dried up a bit for the winners, but I still think his runner can do well here.

This is a tricky race, as the ones who could run well are drawn wide and prefer hold-up rides. Al Hussar is a course and distance winner at Chester, and is drawn in two, so can attack from the start. He has been in tremendous form all season, and it would be fitting for him to get another win on the board.
