Completely Random 16/1 (4pl) – Ascot 3.00

This is going to be a big ask for Completely Random as his form has come in handicaps, but as we've seen on multiple occasions, this division isn't the strongest and upsets happen regularly.

Division is the one to beat based on his strong course form; he was third in the Commonwealth Cup and was second in a French Group 1 last time out. What we see from Completely Random is that he stays on strongly in his races, so a fast pace will be ideal for him, and I can definitely see him running into a place.

Two Tribes 20/1 (5pl) – Ascot 3.35

Without Toby Moore being in the saddle, Two Tribes would struggle to win this, as the handicapper hasn't adjusted his handicap for a long time. He still might not win with the 7lb claimer in the saddle, but it definitely gives him a solid chance, and a very good chance of placing at the very least.

Toby is the son of Ryan Moore and is a solid 7lb claimer. Combine the jockey with the strong course form of Two Tribes, and I think you've got a winning combination. Two Tribes has finished second and third on his last two tries over seven furlongs at Ascot, producing RPRs of 109 and 108; if he were to reproduce that level once again, he'll give himself a strong chance of placing.

Eternal Sunshine 15/2 (4pl) – Ascot 4.10

I put up Eternal Sunshine on her latest start at Newmarket, and she went down swinging, losing by a neck at odds of 20/1. I am a huge fan of Jim Goldie's horses when he sends them on very long trips to the southern tracks, and Lauren Young is making the journey for the ride on Eternal Sunshine, as she did at Newmarket.

He is running over five furlongs again, and based on how he ran last time out, that might be the right decision. He was prominent at Newmarket and then got headed before battling back. If they go from the front, the extra stamina he possesses could make him a tough nut to crack.

Earth Shot 12/1 (3pl) – Longchamp 3.25

I think Sunly is going to be hard to beat if she is going to reproduce her recent form, but in case she is on an off day, Earth Shot is worth a try over today's longer trip.

She won at Royal Ascot in a Group 2, and that came very late on, pipping Johanna Walsh on the line. Her form the time after was a lesser effort, but last time out was an okay run despite being beaten by six lengths. She was staying on at the finish in that race, so there's every reason to believe that she is going to relish this longer trip.
