Not a day to rant and rave about. Stone of destiny was placed at 8/1 earning some small change in place money.

Novemba ran an absolute stinker and I’m not even going to get into it because I’m still annoyed about it.

I’ve just gone for a sole selection tomorrow at Doncaster. I’m not really fussed on the rest of the card and the Johnston runner was the only one that caught my eye.

Dance In The Grass 11/10 – Doncaster 2:35

10 go to post for the group 2 May Hill Stakes. Every single runner within the field has recent winning form in their previous couple of runs which makes this a fascinating and competitive race.

But I think the Johnston trained Dance In The Grass is a strong and worthy favourite to land this one.

The form of her win at Sandown over 7f has been boosted as the second that day Fairy Cross who was ridden by William Buick,  trained by Charlie Appleby has since went on to land a group 3 in a pretty nice fashion.

The speed figure and fashion of that success at Sandown would suggest that this step up in distance will also ease out even more improvement and with William Buick on board that is a further positive in itself.

It’s always a bit of risk backing a short-priced favourite in this sort of field as the rest of the field have also shown decent ability and are all capable of stepping forward in their own right but solely on the study I’ve explained above, I think she’s the one they all have to beat.

Thought Oor Elvis be on with a few French fancies?
Still might but for now I ve got Kubrick in my tracker for 3.28 at Longchamp and he drifted out but has come back in a bit.
It looks a tough one, more so with Bolshkinov that was an NR on Sunday entered.
ATRs Láurent says 1 foreign winner in last 12 years so stick with Kubrick at 5/1 Paddy Power boost or 4/1 generally for the “home team”.

Took Cairnzys with Left at Sea 6/4in the 4.03 in France for the Trixie

Correct recoba, Laurent barbarian tips those 2 you mention, Kubrick and left at sea.
Bolnishkov was withdrawn on Sunday and though this race looks a bit stronger, but was thrown into a group race on its 2nd start.
connections obviously think conditions gives it a better chance today.

      Bolnishkov 3-28 longchamp 🇫🇷.
      6-1 ew 1/4 odds (Betfair) 2 places.
      EVENS top 3 finish (Betfair).

      😆 👍

Well I tracked Kubrick for a reason so who’s the man? 😋

Cant be sure but probably tracked it because he put it up last run and it won?? It looked a bit special stepping up in grade and looked it again today. Left at Sea and Dance in The Grass didn’t give the Trixie a look in! 👎

      Onwards…🇺🇸

Lauren’s the man, you spread the word of the great Lauren here, I have had a temple installed in my cellar in honour of Lauren the great, the French version of Hugh the NAP Taylor 🤣😆💥

    🇺🇸
Irad Ortiz Jnr to give him his Sunday name on a Thursday has been on fire at Colonial Downs and ships to Kentucky but few to many of his mounts are short for just that reason. Was against him in the 1st race but picks NR and I’m skipping it and taking him in one along with one I have at Charles Town that I’ll be wide asleep for!
Good to see other bookies getting places like Colonial and Kentucky downs on there betting sites as Bet365 used to be the only I knew.

    Yankee and couple of singles…

Kentucky Downs -R2…Sundance. 7/2(** got racing experience unlike most and step down will help as she travelled well till jockey gave up when beaten)
R3…Sun Lovin. 6/4 (Irad Ortiz on board and still a playable price on what looks the best horse too?)
    Belterra- R7…Can’tbetemall 6/5
Was 7/4 when I bet him and going to be a recommendation for a single especially as i named it for Uncle Jamie Grubbs! 😉 )
Charles Town-R2…Carnival Lucky 5/1(* good double before overtired in a better race but if back to that level while still improving he will give short priced favourites a game)

    GL yoll 👋 👍

As I’m sure all of you know by now, the queen has sadly passed away. All racing has been cancelled for tomorrow besides one meeting in Ireland at Ballinrobe.

I’ve decided to not cover any tips for tomorrow and will be back tomorrow evening with Saturdays tips.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Saturday 3-45 leopardstown
    Mishriff
    5-1 win
    6-4 top 2 place (NAP) 🏇
    Both at BETFAIR…..

Finished a neck behind French derby winner and favourite for this vadeni at sandown, Mishriff is 4 pounds better off today and has since finished behind baaeed at york, every horse has finished behind baaeed so no shame In That.
And 3rd at Ascot behind pyledriver and last year’s arc winner torquader tasso.

  12. elvis parsley 2 years ago

    Saffron beach 4-55 leopardstown 5-2.

Jane chapple hyam has a serious horse on her hands here, won a group 1 in France a month ago and seems to be improving.
the dangers appear to be among the 3 year olds who get the unfair age allowance, namely the favourite homeless songs but that one hasn’t run since may And his 2 races last autumn were relatively poor finishing 5th and 6th.
