It has been a rough few days on the thread, with my selections either running below par or hitting the crossbar. Today was a case of hitting the crossbar, with Kassaya and Pawapuri both finishing second.

Kassaya has gone straight into the tracker after that run as there was a lot to like about that debut performance. She travelled beautifully into the race and looked like she would go on and win, she hung left when asked to go seal the race and Pont Neuf pounced late on to land the spoils.

Pawapuri was another who travelled like the winner for a long way but was outstayed in the final furlong by the eventual winner.

I've stuck with the York meeting all week, so there's no point in quitting now. I'm not getting heavily involved with the racing tomorrow, so I apologize in advance for only having one selection.

Botanical 10/3 – York 14:45

I tipped Botanical on the thread last week, but connections withdrew him. I'm unsure of the reasoning behind the withdrawal and can only assume it was due to the ground conditions.

The ground conditions at York are still forecast as good, even with the showers of rain. My selection has already won twice on good/good to firm ground and won decisively on both outings. Karl Burke is a shrewd trainer, particularly with his youngsters, and with Botanical still only a four-year-old, there's no doubt that he can improve further this season.

I was impressed with his last run which came in October of last year. He beat Mr Professor by five lengths and the form of that run has received a boost as Mr Professor went on to land the Lincoln by five lengths on the day.

Tipped this last time it stepped up to a grade close to this (slightly lower) and he won nicely then has been tried in better races last 2 runs. They’ve been 100K Stakes company and drops into 59K Allowance which looks a very winnable race versus some good but overexposed horses here.. in my humble superb opinion.

The 2nd part of ‘The triple crown’ effort with Mystik Dan going for it BUT not sure on him at around 2/1 but be nice if he wins it’s just a hard less than 6 weeks (?) later – as always

Muth is NR with a we temperature 🤒
Think got to watch wee Lenfraco Dettori on Imagination at 4/1 for the Preakness.
Sure he will try get out and gone with the front runner it’s just the distance a worry so fractions will be vital..but if anyone can Dettori can!

Can anyone explain why a 1/12 priced horse is thrown into a race that has 52,000 euro prize money? Not exactly a fair race
