After recording a third consecutive winner late on at Ibrox on Wednesday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me remain in the Scottish Premiership, and I’ve highlighted another goals-based selection.
⚽️ Falkirk vs Rangers
🏴 Premiership
⏰ Saturday 16 May, 12:30
Rangers round off another trophy-less season at the Falkirk Stadium at lunchtime on Saturday as they take on Falkirk in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
John McGlynn’s hosts have scored 48 goals across their opening 37 matches back in the Scottish top flight, with 31 (65%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Bairns have blanked in just two of their opening 18 league outings on home soil – scoring on multiple occasions in three of their last six and four of their past eight – and will be confident of adding to their impressive goal-scoring record at home against a Gers backline that has kept a solitary shutout across their previous 13 league clashes, shipping multiple goals in each of their last six and nine of their past 11.
Danny Rohl’s visitors are the leading scorers in the Scottish Premiership, firing in 71 goals across their opening 37 matches, with 32 (45%) of them coming on their travels.
The Teddy Bears have failed to score in just two of their previous 32 matches in the Premiership – scoring on multiple occasions in 13 of their past 19 – and will be confident of breaching a Bairns backline that has kept just four clean sheets at home this season, shipping 15 goals across their last six.

Bet of the Day
Rangers’ matches in the Scottish Premiership have gone goal-crazy over the past couple of months, with their previous 13 clashes averaging a whopping 4.46 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in 11 (85%) of them, whilst 12 (92%) have produced goals at both ends.
Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has also paid out in five of the Bairns’ last six Premiership contests on home soil – including that nine-goal thriller with Rangers last month – and another high-scorer looks likely at the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday.
- Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 19/20 (Coral/Ladbrokes)
