Another two teams booked their place at Euro 2024 last night, congratualtions to Hungary and Slovakia.
One European heavyweight who still have it all to do, are Italy in Group G.
Two defeats to England and a draw North Macedonia sees them three points behind Ukraine with a game in hand. Tonight they must beat the North Macedonians ahead of a potential winner-takes-all clash with the Ukrainians in Leverkusen on Monday.
Luciano Spalletti’s side have the safety net of a play-off place courtesy of the Nations League but as defending champions they’ll be keen to ensure qualification as soon as possible.
The Macedonians have often been a thorn in Italy’s side though, most famously denying them qualification for the 2022 World Cup with a play-off win in Palermo. The nations drew 1-1 in Skopje in September so the Azzuri should have a point to prove tonight.
It could be another close one though with nerves at play for the hosts so rather than backing Italy at a very short 1/6, take a chance on them winning by a one goal margin at 10/3.
As for England it should be a case of ‘how many?’ against Malta at Wembley. Top spot in Group C is 99.9% assured, although one more win will guarantee they are among the top seeds so Gareth Southgate could see this as the perfect opportunity to introduce some new blood to the fold.
Cole Palmer, Ezri Konsa and Rico Lewis have eared call-ups and the former is the man on everyone’s lips after an impressive start to the season which has seen him score four goals and provide four assists so far.
He’s 4/5 to mark his arrival at international level with a goal.
There could be more scope to make profit in the U21 matches tonight.
The young France squad is jam-packed with quality and experience with the likes of Rayan Cherki (Lyon), Arnaud Kalimuendo (Rennes) and Castello Lukeba (RB Leipzig) who all have over 100 senior games under their belt.
They’ve scored 15 in their opening three matches including nine at home to Cyprus and four against Slovenia who sit second in the group.

I got screwed over the other night when Paddy cancelled my winning bets on the Brann Women CL game claiming they had put the wrong name of team on their game listings. We have been struggling after a good start in our first season in tier 2 and lost our last 4 home league games but scored in all 4.
Our last 2 home games been better against 2 top teams in this league
We lost 1-2 to airbus but certainly deserved a draw at least then drew 1-1 with flint in the cup and lost on penalties, both these were in the league of Wales last season.
All 10 of our league games this season have seen at least 3 goals
Buckley are just below us in the league and bar a win at ruthin have been in poor form also.
Bar Chirk these are the 2 worst defences in the league and their games usually see at least 3 goals.
