MOST of the big boys are still standing as the quarter-finals get underway at Euro 2024 and that has led to some mouth-watering clashes.
The two games being held today are worthy of semi-finals and hosts Germany are up first as they battle Spain.
Julian Nagelsmann's side impressed once more in the last 16 against Denmark, although they needed a helping hand from VAR during two crazy minutes that ultimately decided the tie.
Denmark had a goal ruled out then had the stuffing knocked out of them by conceding a penalty for handball but few could argue the Germans didn't ultimately deserve their 2-0 victory.
They now face an even tougher test against a Spanish side who have arguably been the most impressive side so far at Euro 2024.
Luis de la Fuente's men were only considered dark horses in the betting before a ball was kicked but they have now emerged as one of the favourites after sweeping so many opponents aside.

Spain v Germany Top Betting Tips
There seems to be very little between these sides, although the Germans do have home advantage. In such cases, the half-time draw is always a good option and it pays 21/20 at Betfred here.
Games can be cagey when you get the business end of major tournaments but both Nagelsmann and De La Fuente are committed to playing attacking football. That makes me think this should be a good watch and combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays 13/10. Backing over 2.5 strikes on its own is decent at evens too.
Both teams have pace and trickery down the flanks so that could lead to full-backs committing a few fouls. Dani Carvajal is 11/5 to go into the book while opposite number Joshua Kimmich is 3/1 in the same market.
Pedri has yet to shine at these finals with other Spanish players stealing the show instead. But the Barcelona kid is still a class act and backing him for an effort on target here pays 7/4.
Portugal v France Top Tips
Two of the tournament favourites go head to head in today's other quarter-final as Portugal and France enter battle.
Despite boasting an impressive arsenal of weapons, both these sides have been misfiring of late, with Portugal shooting blanks in their last two outings and France scoring just three times all tournament.
Star men Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo have also yet to explode into life, with the only goal between them coming from the penalty spot.
These teams could cancel each other out and the half-time draw appeals again, although the price is poorer this time at 19/20 with Betfred.
This is a repeat of the 2018 World Cup semi which Les Bleus won 1-0 thanks to a strike in the second half. Backing most goals to come after the break here pays 23/20.
Cards are another good option and Portugal midfield enforcer Joao Palhinha is 2/1 to go in the book. Over 42.5 booking points also appeals at 6/5.
Ronaldo has taken 10 pops at goal so far in the tournament without beating the keeper. He'll be desperate to sharpen up those stats and is 2/1 to have two or more shots on target against France.
Venezuela v Canada Top Tips
If you still haven't got your fix of football after those two Euro clashes of the titans, there's quarter-final action at the Copa America in the early hours of Saturday morning.
This tie lacks the same kind of glamour but Venezuela have been the surprise package of the tournament and will be confident of booking a semi-final slot after winning all three group games.
Most people expected Mexico and Ecuador to emerge from Group B but the Venezuelans beat both of them so they look decent value at 13/8 with VBet for a win inside 90 minutes.
Canada could prove a tough nut to crack though as the only two goals they've conceded so far came against champions Argentina.
This one could get a bit tasty so I like the evens on offer at Paddy Power for over 4.5 cards.

I could be wrong here and we may well get a couple of cagey 0-0 or 1-0 either way but I’m having a bash at goals given the quality on show for all 4 sides ,
Both Euro games over 2.5 match goals 3.6/1 ,
Goodluck all whatever your on 👍
On this as well Deano – you can get 6.00 with Enhanced Odds on William Hill.
Good odds that mate already placed this with 365 though ,
Hi guys, quick question for the experienced bettors on the site!
I’ve taken on an 8-fold, over 2.5mgls shop bet Acca at Hills, paying £1,050.
First 5 teams have landed, however, game 6 (Basel v Braunschweig) has finished 1-1 so thought the bet was down!
However, this game has now been highlighted as “both teams playing 40 minutes per half”?
So, had I have known the game was only 80 minutes, I would not have included it in a goals bet as obviously presumed there would be 90 minutes to generate 3 goals!
Is there a precedent to have this game removed from my bet as a mis-advertised game and to just pay out on the 7-fold (if it comes in, of course)?!
Any clarification would be welcome guys!
All bets are 90 mins unless it states 80 mins on your ticket, should be voided. Just Hope you haven’t got the internationals in your acca lol
You’ve got to watch out for these mate some friendly games play shorter halfs and games for some strange reason , i can’t see them reversing it ,
Deano any bet you place is based on 90 mins unless stated. If it doesn’t state 80 mins then they will void it. Bookies sometimes aren’t aware a game is 40 mins each way. They should void that selection
Spain v Germany
Yamal has 4 assists in his last 4 internationals – 1 v Georgia 4-1, 1 v Croatia 3-0 and 2 v Northerna Ireland 5 -1
He failed to assist in the 1 -0 vicvory over Italy and the 1 – 0 victory over Albania but he only game on as a sub after 72 mins in that game.
William Hills are doing a special Yamal to assist, Spain to win and both teams to score @ 20/1
⚽ ⚽
👃
👄
With this lucky mascot so suerly its a winner 😁
❌ Yamal assist and btts but no 🇪🇸 winner
Hi Macca, that’s what I thought, the bet is not specified as 2×40 minutes on my ticket, bet made on the presumption it was a normal 90 minutes match!
FYI, the 2 games I’m waiting on are:-
1, Ayr v Celtic friendly tonight
2, Cambuur friendly game 6pm…
So, hope they don’t try and void the whole Acca, very happy if I can get paid on 7-fold (if it lands)!
Cheers for your assistance 👍
Macca/Deano, they have voided the game on Hills Website, as Macca says, bookies obviously had no idea it was 2 x 40 minutes game until the game was nearly over.
So, just Cambuur and Celtic games to go over 2.5, the 7-fold will pay £635 which is ok🤣
Goodluck mate 👍
