Euro 2024 Bet of the day

After returning to winning ways in Sinsheim on Saturday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Premier League, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for both goals and cards.

⚽️ Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Premier League

⏰ Sunday 21st April, 15:00

Aston Villa will look to strengthen their position in 4th position in the Premier League table as they welcome mid-table Bournemouth to Villa Park in a fixture that appeals to me for both goals and cards.

Unai Emery’s hosts are the fifth-highest scorers in the Premier League, banging in 68 goals across their opening 33 matches, with 40 (59%) of them coming on home soil. The Villans have scored in 29 of their previous 30 Premier League fixtures in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in 20 (67%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again at Villa Park against a Bournemouth backline that has kept just three clean sheets on their travels this season, shipping multiple goals in 10/15 (67%) of them.

Andoni Iraola’s visitors have scored 47 goals across their opening 32 Premier League contests this term, with 24 (51%) of them coming on their travels. The Cherries have made the bulge in all bar one of their opening 15 road trips this campaign – notching two or more goals in seven (47%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again on their travels against a Villa defence that’s kept just three clean sheets across their previous 15 Premier League encounters on home turf, shipping multiple goals in six of their last seven.

Bet of the Day

Aston Villa’s opening 16 Premier League fixtures in front of their supporters this term are averaging an eye-catching 3.88 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals clicking in 12 (75%) of them – and given the same has landed in 12/15 (80%) of Bournemouth’s Premier League away days – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three goals between these two sides on Sunday afternoon, with the hosts scoring at least one off them.

To nudge up the price, I’m happy to throw in both sides to be shown a card. This selection has landed in 15/16 (94%) of Aston Villa’s Premier League fixtures at Billa Park, with the same also landing in 13/15 (87%) of The Cherries’ Premier League road trips.

  • Aston Villa to Score Over 0.5 Goals, Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams Over 0.5 Cards
  • Pays 10/11 (BetVictor Bet Builder)
