Two of the top three in the Swedish Superettan table meet at the Varberg Energi Arena on Saturday afternoon as third-placed Varberg entertain second-placed Falkenbergs in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Victor Salwen’s hosts are the joint-highest scorers in the Swedish second tier this term, firing in 32 goals across their opening 16 matches, with 15 (47%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Green-Blacks have blanked just three times so far this term – scoring 2+ goals on 11 (69%) occasions – and will be confident of adding to their impressive goal-tally against a Falkenbergs backline that has kept just two clean sheets all season and none in their past 11.
Christoffer Andersson’s visitors are also the joint-highest scorers in the Superettan this term, firing in 32 goals across their opening 16 matches, with 21 (66%) of them coming on their travels.
FFF have blanked just once in the league this season, scoring 2+ goals on 11 (69%) occasions – including in all eight (100%) of their away matches – and will look to continue their scintillating scoring record away from home against a Varberg backline that has kept just four clean sheets all season, with three of them coming against the bottom five.
