Merry Christmas everyone! Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the full card in the Championship, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs at opposite ends of the Championship table meet at Hillsborough on Boxing Day as rock-bottom Sheffield Wednesday host fourth-placed Hull City in a fixture that I’m keen to get the high-flying visitors on side.
After winning just two of their opening eight Championship fixtures this season (W2-D3-L3), Hull have gone on to win nine of their next 14 (W9-D1-L4) to move them up into fourth position, just five points behind second-placed Middlesbrough.
Their 1-0 victory over West Brom last time out was their third in a row, and they also travel to Hillsborough, having won each of their last two and four of their previous six on the road.
In contrast, Sheffield Wednesday have had a nightmare campaign, with Henrik Pedersen’s hosts picking up just nine points from their opening 21 matches, with their 3-1 defeat at Portman Road against third-placed Ipswich Town last time out being their sixth defeat from their previous seven.
The Owls have particularly struggled when playing in front of their supporters, as they are still yet to win at Hillsborough this campaign, picking up just two points from a possible 33 (W0-D2-L9).

Sergej Jakirovic’s hosts are the third-highest scorers in the Championship, firing in 37 goals across their opening 22 matches, with 18 (49%) coming on their travels.
The Tigers have scored 2+ goals in an impressive 13 (59%) of their Championship contests – including in five of their last six and seven of their previous nine on their travels – and I’m backing them to bag another double against an Owls backline that has shipped multiple goals in 14/21 (67%) of their league outings, including in 8/11 (73%) on home soil.
