Two clubs separated by a solitary point in the Swedish Superettan table meet at the Olympia on Tuesday night as seventh-placed Helsingborgs host fourth-placed Varbergs in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Stevie Grieve’s hosts are the joint-highest scorers in the Swedish second tier this term, firing in 15 goals across their opening seven matches, with 10 (67%) of those coming in front of their supporters.
The Red Ones have found the back of the net in each of their opening seven league outings this season, scoring on multiple occasions in five (63%) of them – including in all four (100%) on home soil – and will look to continue their impressive form in front of goal against a Varbergs defence that has kept just two clean sheets so far this campaign, shipping nine goals.
Victor Salwen’s visitors have also scored 15 goals across their opening seven matches in the Superettan this season, with seven (47%) of them coming across their three road trips.
The Green-Blacks have blanked just once so far this term, scoring 2+ goals on five (71%) occasions – including in each of their opening three away clashes – and will be confident of adding to their impressive goal-tally against a HIF defence that has kept just one clean sheet and conceded 14 goals this season.
