Two clubs separated only by five points in the Allsvenskan table meet at the Hitachi Energy Arena on Sunday afternoon as 11th-placed Vasteras entertains 13th-placed Degerfors in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Despite their lowly position, Alexander Rubin’s hosts have fired in 20 goals across their opening 11 matches in the Allsvenskan this season, with 10 (50%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Gronvitt have blanked just twice in the league this term, notching on multiple occasions in six (55%) of them – including in each of their past three – and will be confident of breaching a Degerfors defence that is without a clean sheet in each of their past nine league outings.
Henok Goitom’s visitors have scored 12 goals across their opening 11 clashes in the Swedish top flight this campaign, with six (50%) of them coming across their four road trips.
After failing to score in two of their opening three fixtures this term, The Bruket have found the back of the net in seven of their next eight – as well as in all four of their away matches – and will look to continue that trend against a Vasteras defence that is without a clean sheet since the opening day of the season, shipping 23 goals.
