Reigning champions Viking will look to bounce back from defeat last weekend as they welcome mid-table Sandefjord to Stavanger in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
After ending their 34-year wait for Eliteserien success, Viking began the campaign with a 2-1 defeat at HamKam before embarking on a nine-game winning run.
However, the Stavanger outfit returned from the World Cup break by suffering a 1-0 defeat at mid-table Sarpsborg last weekend, leaving them in third position, two points behind leaders Bodo/Glimt – albeit with two games in hand.
Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim and Morten Jensen will be glad to have their side back at home, as they have won all five of their Eliteserien fixtures in front of their supporters this season, firing in an incredible 21 goals.
Sandefjord saw their winless run extend to four matches in the Eliteserien last weekend, as they twice threw away the lead to draw 2-2 at home to sixth-placed HamKam.
Andreas Tegstrom’s visitors travel to Stavanger having lost each of their previous three Eliteserien contests on the road, conceding eight goals in the process.
