Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Spanish Segunda playoff ties, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Following on from their first leg stalemate, Almeria and Castellon meet at the Power Horse Stadium in the second leg of their Segunda playoff clash in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Rubi’s hosts are the second-highest scorers in the Segunda this campaign, firing in 82 goals across their opening 43 encounters, with 52 (63%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Cowboys have blanked in just one of their opening 21 league outings on home soil this term – scoring 2+ goals in 15 (71%) of them – and will be confident of adding to their impressive goal tally against a Castellon backline that has kept just two clean sheets across their previous 17 Segunda fixtures.
Ex-Swansea City and Leeds United attacker, Pablo Hernandez, has seen his side score 71 goals across their opening 43 matches in the Spanish second tier this term, with 28 (39%) of them coming on their travels.
The Orelluts have found the back of the net in each of their previous 20 league outings – striking two or more goals in 10 (50%) of them – and will look to continue their knack of finding the back of the net against an Almeria backline that has kept just three clean sheets across their past 27 Segunda matches.

Both Teams to Score has been a winning selection in an impressive 15 of Castellon’s last 17 Segunda matches – with six of their last 10 also going Over 2.5 Goals – and I’m anticipating a high-scoring clash in Andalusia on Tuesday evening.
