Eibar will look to keep their playoff hopes alive as they welcome ninth-placed Cordoba to the Municipal de Ipurua on Sunday evening in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Benat San Jose’s hosts have fired in 49 goals across their opening 20 matches in the Spanish second tier this term, with an impressive 35 (71%) of them coming on home soil.
Los Armeros have failed to score in just one of their past 14 league contests at home – scoring 2+ goals in six of their last seven – and will look to continue their impressive goal-scoring record at home against a Cordoba defence that’s kept just three clean sheets on their travels this season, with neither of those coming across their last 11.
Ivan Ania’s visitors have scored 56 goals across their opening 40 Segunda fixtures this campaign, with 29 (52%) of them coming on their travels.
Los Blanquiverdes have blanked just four times on their travels this season – scoring on multiple occasions in each of their last three and 10 of their past 15 – and will look to continue their fine goal-scoring record away from home against an Eibar defence that’s kept just two clean sheets across their previous seven contests in front of their supporters.

Cordoba’s opening 20 away matches in the Spanish second tier this season have averaged 3.00 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 14 (70%) of them – including in 10 of their previous 11 – and I’m backing that trend to continue in the Basque Country on Sunday.
