Two clubs at opposite ends of the Spanish Segunda table meet in Andalusia on Monday night as promotion-chasing Almeria entertain relegation-threatened Mirandes in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Rubi’s hosts are the second-highest scorers in the Segunda this campaign, firing in 74 goals across their opening 37 encounters, with 46 (62%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Cowboys have blanked in just one of their opening opening 18 league outings on home soil this term, scoring 2+ goals in 14/18 (78%) of them – including in each of their previous seven – and will be confident of adding to their impressive goal tally against a Mirandes defence that has recorded solitary shutout across their last 13 road trips, shipping multiple goals in nine (69%) of them.
Antxon Muneta’s visitors have scored 40 goals across their opening 37 matches in the Spanish second tier this season, with 21 (53%) of them coming on their travels.
Los Rojilos have found the back of the net in each of their previous seven league outings – notching on multiple occasions in five (71%) of them – and will look to continue their recent upturn in form in front of goal against an Almeria backline that has kept a single clean sheet across their past 21 Segunda matches.

Almeria’s opening 18 fixtures at home in the Spanish second tier have averaged a league-high 4.00 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in an impressive 18 (89%) of them – including in each of their previous 10 – whilst 14 (78%) have also produced goals at both ends.
Both Teams to Score has been a winning selection in each of Mirandes’s previous seven league outings, with Over 2.5 Goals also landing in six of them.
What’s more, these two sides shared four goals in the reverse fixture in January, and another high-scoring encounter looks likely in Andalusia on Monday.
