Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish Championship, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Patrick Thistle will look to move within five points of Scottish Championship leaders St Johnstone on Tuesday night as they travel to Stark’s Park to take on seventh-placed Raith Rovers in a fixture that appeals for goals.
Dougie Imrie’s hosts have scored 31 goals across their opening 29 Championship fixtures this campaign, with 25 (81%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Kirkcaldy outfit have failed to score in just four of their opening 14 home matches this term, scoring on multiple occasions in seven (50%) of them – including in three of their last four and four of their previous six – and will look to continue their recent form in front of goal at home against a Jags defence that has kept a solitary shutout across their past 10 road trips in the league, shipping 2+ goals in five of their last six.
Mark Wilson’s visitors have scored 42 goals across their opening 29 clashes in the Scottish second tier this term, with 18 (43%) of them coming on their travels.
The Jags have blanked in just three of their opening 14 away matches in the Championship this season – notching two or more goals in each of their last three and four of their past five – and will look to breach a Rovers backline with just two clean sheets across their past eight home matches.

Raith Rovers’ opening 14 Championship encounters in front of their supporters this season have averaged 2.93 goals per game, with 13 (93%) of them delivering at least two strikes, whilst six of their previous seven have gone Over 2.5 Goals (0-3, 6-0, 1-2, 2-3, 4-1, 0-0 & 3-1).
Thistle’s opening 14 road trips in the Scottish second tier this campaign have averaged 2.79 goals per game, with 12 (86%) seeing at least two goals, whilst five of their previous six have gone Over 2.5 Goals (1-2, 2-2, 0-2, 2-2, 2-2 & 2-1).
Therefore, I’m happy to back the Over 2.25 Asian goal line. This would mean if there are exactly two goals scored, we will lose just half of our stake, whilst three or more strikes will reward a full payout.
