After making it four winners from my last five columns in Rome on Sunday, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the second legs of the Champions League playoff ties, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

A week on from their six-goal thriller, Atletico and Club Brugge face-off at the Metropolitano on Tuesday evening in what promises to be another entertaining encounter.
Diego Simeone’s hosts have fired in 20 goals across their opening nine matches in the Champions League this campaign, with 11 (55%) of them coming across their four home contests.
Los Rojiblancos have only failed to score at Anfield against Liverpool in the Champions League this term – striking on multiple occasions in six (67%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Club Brugge backline that has registered a solitary shutout across their last nine Champions League contests, shipping two or more goals in six of their past eight.
Ivan Leko’s visitors have scored 31 goals across their opening 13 continental clashes this campaign, with nine (29%) of them coming on their travels.
The Blauw-Zwart have failed to score in just three of their European contests this term, scoring 2+ goals in eight (62%) of them – including in each of their last three – and will look to trouble an Atleti defence that is still yet to record a clean sheet in this season’s Champions League, shipping 18 goals.

Atletico Madrid’s opening nine Champions League encounters this campaign have averaged an impressive 4.22 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in eight (89%) of them, whilst six (67%) have also gone Over 3.5 Goals.
Club Brugge's previous 12 continental clashes have averaged a whopping 4.42 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in all 12 (100%) of them, whilst eight (67%) have also gone Over 3.5 Goals, and another high-scoring clash in Madrid looks on the cards.
Therefore, I’m happy to back the Over 3.25 Asian goal line. This would mean if there are exactly three goals scored, we will lose just half our stake, whilst four or more strikes will reward a full payout.
