After seeing our winning run end at four after falling a 2, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Premier League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.
⚽️ West Ham United vs Manchester United
🏴 Premier League
⏰ Tuesday 10 February, 20:15
Two clubs who come into this clash in good form meet at the London Stadium on Tuesday night as relegation-threatened West Ham United welcomes Champions League-chasing Manchester United in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Nuno’s hosts have scored 31 goals across their opening 25 matches in the Premier League this season, with 16 (52%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Hammers have failed to score in just four of their previous 17 Premier League encounters – notching on multiple occasions in each of their last four – and will be confident of breaching a Manchester United backline that has still to register a clean sheet on their Premier League travels this season, shipping 2+ goals in seven of their past 11.
Michael Carrick’s visitors are the third-highest scorers in the Premier League this season, firing in 46 goals across their opening 25 contests, with 21 (47%) of them coming on their travels.
The Red Devils have blanked just three times in the Premier League this season and just once across their past 21 league outings – striking two or more goals in each of their last five – and will be expected to add to their goal-tally against a Hammers backline that has kept just two clean sheets all season and none at home, shipping 2+ goals in 9/12 (75%) of their encounters at the London Stadium.

Bet of the Day
West Ham’s opening 12 Premier League encounters in front of their supporters this campaign have averaged an eye-catching 3.50 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in eight (67%) of them – including in each of their last three and six of their past eight (3-1, 3-2, 0-2, 2-3, 0-1, 2-2, 1-2, 3-1) – whilst nine (75%) have gone Over 2.5 Goals.
Manchester United’s opening 12 away fixtures in the Premier League this season have averaged 3.50 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in 11 (92%) of them, whilst 10 of their last 11 have gone Over 2.5 Goals (0-3, 1-3, 2-1, 2-2, 2-2, 2-1, 4-1, 1-2, 1-1, 2-2, 3-2).
Given the form both of these teams have been in in recent weeks, coupled with their lack of clean sheets, I’m expecting an entertaining encounter in East London on Tuesday night, full of goals.
- Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 4/5 (bet365)
