After making it four consecutive winners in Seattle on Wednesday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the goal-laden Norwegian second tier, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Egersunds vs Moss

🇳🇴 OBOS-ligaen

⏰ Saturday 4 July, 13:00

Two clubs separated by a solitary point in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen table meet at B&G Parken on Saturday afternoon as 11th-placed Egersunds host ninth-placed Moss in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Marius Kjorvik Johansen’s hosts have scored 21 goals across their opening 13 fixtures in the Norwegian second tier this campaign, with 11 (52%) of them coming on home soil.

The Tigers have failed to score just three times in the league this season – scoring on multiple occasions on six (46%) occasions – and will look to trouble a Moss defence that’s kept a solitary shutout in the league this season, shipping 29 goals.

Ole Martin Nesselquist’s visitors scored 23 goals across their opening 11 matches in the OBOS-ligaen this term, with 14 (61%) of them coming on their travels.

The Mossekraker have blanked just once in the league this season, scoring on multiple occasions in seven (54%) of them – including in three of their past four on their travels – and will be confident of breaching an Egersunds’ defence that has kept a single clean sheet across their last 10 league outings, shipping 25 goals.

Bet of the Day

Moss’s opening 13 fixtures in the Norwegian second tier this campaign have averaged an eye-catching 4.00 goals per game, with Over 3.5 Goals banking in nine (69%) of them, including in 6/7 (86%) of their road trips.

Over 3.5 Goals has also been a winning selection in each of Egersunds’ last five and six of their past seven league outings, and I’m backing that trend to continue in the southwestern coast of Norway on Saturday afternoon.
