Goals look on the cards in Oslo on Thursday night as Scandinavian rivals Norway and Denmark go head-to-head in their Nations League opener.
Norway come into this clash off the back of a successful World Cup campaign, as they made it all the way to the quarter-finals.
Stale Solbakken’s hosts finished second behind France in their group, before defeating both Ivory Coast and record world champions Brazil, but then saw their run come to an end in extra time against England.
Denmark, on the other hand, failed to qualify for the World Cup finals in North America in the summer, as they suffered an agonising defeat to Czechia in the playoffs.
Brian Riemer’s visitors surrendered top spot to Scotland after suffering a late defeat at Hampden in their final qualifier, but bounced back by thrashing North Macedonia in their World Cup semi-final playoff tie.
However, De Rod-Hvide faltered at the final hurdle, as after drawing 2-2 with Czechia after 120 minutes, they were beaten on penalties, ending their World Cup dreams.

Norway’s matches are generally high-scoring, with 18 of their last eight 23 and 23 of their previous 30 matches going over 2.5 Goals, whilst each of their previous eight and 11 of their past 12 have produced goals at both ends.
Denmark’s last seven competitive clashes have averaged a whopping 4.43 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in each of them, whilst four of their past five have also produced goals at both ends – and another high-scoring clash looks likely in Oslo on Thursday night.
