Football Bet of the Day

After making it 4️⃣ consecutive winners in Germany on Saturday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Premier League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Brentford vs Leeds United

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Premier League

⏰ Sunday 14 December, 16:30

Two clubs separated only by four points in the Premier League table meet at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon as 14th-placed Brentford hosts 16th-placed Leeds United in a fixture that looks primed for goals.

Keith Andrews’ hosts have scored 21 goals across their opening 15 Premier League encounters this term, with 15 (71%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

Only second-placed Manchester City have prevented The Bees from scoring at home in the Premier League this season – striking on multiple occasions in five of their past six – and will be confident of continuing their impressive goal-scoring form at home against a Leeds backline that is without a clean sheet in each of their past 12 Premier League encounters, shipping 2+ goals in eight of their previous 10.

Daniel Farke’s visitors have scored 19 goals across their opening 15 matches back in the Premier League, with 10 (53%) of them coming across their last five outings.

After failing to score in three of their opening four Premier League encounters, the Whites have found the back of the net in nine of their next 11 – scoring two or more in six (55%) of them – and will look to trouble a Brentford backline that has kept just one clean sheet across their last 12 Premier League outings, shipping 2+ goals in nine (60%) of them.

Bet of the Day

Brentford’s opening 15 matches in the Premier League this season have averaged 3.00 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in nine (60%) of them, including in five of their last six on home soil (2-2, 3-1, 0-1, 3-2, 3-1 & 3-1).

After seeing just seven goals scored across their opening four games since promotion back to the Premier League, Leeds’s next 11 have averaged an eye catching 3.73 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in 10 (91%) of them – including in each of their last seven (2-1, 0-3, 1-3, 1-2, 2-3, 3-1 & 3-3) – and I fancy that trend to continue in West London on Sunday.

  • Over 2.5 Goals
