Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English Championship, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated only by three places and three points in the Championship table meet at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday night as 10th-placed Wrexham host 13th-placed Leicester City in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Phil Parkinson’s hosts have scored 39 goals across their opening 27 matches since promotion to the Championship, with 25 (64%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Reds have found the back of the net in all 14 (100%) of their Championship encounters on home soil – striking 2+ goals in three of their last four and in five of their past eight – and will be confident of continuing their excellent record in front of goal at home against a Foxes defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 21 Championship encounters, shipping multiple goals in seven of their previous 11.
Marti Cifuentes’s visitors have scored 38 goals across their opening 27 matches back in the Championship, with 19 (50%) of them coming on their travels.
The Foxes have failed to score in just four of their Championship fixtures this season – notching on multiple occasions in eight of their past 13 – and will look to trouble a Wrexham backline that has kept just three clean sheets at home in the Championship all season, shipped nine goals across their last five.

Wrexham’s opening 14 matches at home since promotion to the Championship have averaged an eye-catching 3.29 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals paying out in eight (57%) of them, including in each of their last four (2-2, 5-3, 2-1 & 1-2).
Leicester’s matches have also went goal-crazy in the last few months, with their previous 13 averaging 3.61 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in all 13 (2-1, 2-1, 0-3, 2-3, 3-1, 2-2, 3-1, 1-4, 1-2, 2-1, 1-3, 2-1 & 1-2), and I’m backing that trend to continue at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday night.
