After returning to winning ways in Zagreb on Thursday, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish Premiership, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs that were promoted together to the Scottish Premiership this season meet at the Falkirk Stadium as fifth-placed Falkirk hosts bottom side Livingston in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
John McGlynn’s hosts have fired in 15 goals across their opening 11 Premiership fixtures this campaign, with 11 (73%) coming across their four contests on home soil.
The Bairns have failed to score away at both Hearts (1st) and Celtic (2nd) – notching on multiple occasions in 4/6 (67%) of their home encounters – and will look to maintain their record of scoring in every Premiership outing against a Livi backline that has kept a solitary shutout in the league this season, shipping a league-high 22 goals.
David Martindale’s visitors have scored 13 goals across their opening 11 encounters since promotion to the Scottish top flight, with five (38%) of them.
Livi have only failed to score away at Celtic (2nd), Hibs (3rd) and Aberdeen (8th) – scoring on multiple occasions in four (36%) of them – and will look to trouble a Falkirk backline that has recorded a solitary shutout in the league this season, shipping 20 goals.

Falkirk’s opening 11 matches in the Premiership this season have averaged an eye-catching 3.18 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in nine (82%) of them, whilst all six (100%) in front of their supporters have produced goals at both ends.
Similarly, Livi’s opening 11 matches back in the Scottish top flight have averaged 3.18 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in eight (73%) of them coming – including in five of their last six (2-3, 1-2, 1-1, 0-4, 1-2 & 2-2) – whilst nine (82%) have also gone Over 2.5 Goals.
Livingston won the reverse fixture 3-1 at Almondvale back in August – and whilst I’m not predicting the same scoreline – I’m expecting another high-scoring encounter between these two sides on Saturday afternoon.
