Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish Premiership, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

The opening Edinburgh derby of the season takes place at Easter Road on Thursday night as Hibs host Hearts in the Scottish Premiership in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
David Gray’s hosts have scored 14 goals across their opening 10 matches in all competitions this season, with 10 (71%) of them coming at home.
The Hibees’ have found the back of the net in all five (100%) of their home fixtures this term – scoring 2+ goals in three (60%) of them – and will look to trouble a Hearts backline that has registered a solitary shutout so far this season, shipping 22 goals.
Wouter Vrancken’s visitors have scored 19 goals across their opening 10 fixtures in all competitions this term, with 17 (89%) of them coming across their last six matches.
The Jambos have found the back of the net in each of their previous eight matches – scoring 2+ goals in five of their last six – and will look to continue their scintillating form in front of goal against a Hibees backline that has kept a solitary shutout from their five home matches in all competitions this season.

Edinburgh derbies always tend to be watchable affairs, and I reckon there’s a good chance we will see plenty of goal-mouth action at Easter Road on Thursday night.
All three of the Hibees’ Premiership fixtures have seen Over 2.5 Goals land, as well as all four of their league and European fixtures at Easter Road this term.
The Jambos’ 10 fixtures in all competitions this season have produced an impressive 41 goals, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in eight (80%) of them – including in seven of their last eight.
What’s more, Over 2.5 Goals has landed in each of the last three meetings at Easter Road between these two rivals, and I’m hoping that trend continues on Thursday night.
