⚽️ Celtic vs Livingston

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Premiership

⏰ Wednesday 11 February, 19:45

Celtic will look to keep the pressure on leaders Hearts and second-placed Rangers as they welcome newly-promoted Livingston to Celtic Park on Wednesday evening.

Celtic fell three points behind second-placed Rangers last Wednesday as their game at Pittodrie against manager-less Aberdeen was postponed due to a water-logged pitch.

However, the Hoops remain just six points behind leaders Hearts, with a game in hand, following the Jambos’ defeat in Paisley against St Mirren.

Martin O’Neill’s men were in action in the Scottish cup at the weekend and were extremely fortunate to go through to the quarter-finals, as they defeated Dundee 2-1 after extra time after equalising in the 96th-minute.

Livingston’s winless run in the Premiership was extended to 23 matches last time out as they were beaten 1-2 at home by fellow promoted side Falkirk, leaving them six points adrift of 11th-placed Kilmarnock.

Martin Bartley’s visitors remain winless on their travels this season, losing each of their last five, and have scored just seven goals across their previous 11 road trips.

Bet of the Day

The Hoops have won nine of their 12 Premiership matches at Celtic Park (W9-D1-L2), with that record changing to W9-D1-L0 when excluding meetings with the two teams above them in the table.

Seven of the eight goals Martin O’Neill’s side have conceded at home have come against teams positioned in fourth and above, with the Hoops keeping clean sheets in eight of their nine encounters with teams in fifth and below in the Premiership table.

Celtic won 3-0 when these two clubs last faced off at this venue back in August, and I’m expecting Martin O’Neill’s side to secure another comfortable victory at home to the Lions.
