Following on from last night’s winner in DC, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Eredivisie, and I’m backing the division’s in-form striker to find the back of the net once again.

Utrecht will look to strengthen their position inside the Eredivisie playoff places as they welcome crisis club Vitesse to the Stadion Galgenwaard in a fixture that I’m keen to back the hosts' in-form striker to find the back of the net once again.
Utrecht made a disastrous start to the campaign, losing seven of their opening eight Eredivisie fixtures. However, Ron Jans’ hosts have since gone on to lose just two of their next 23 Eredivisie contests (W11-D10-L2) – with both of those defeats coming away at giants Feyenoord (2nd) and Ajax (5th) – to push them up into seventh position in the table, with a three-point cushion inside the Eredivisie playoff places.
An already disastrous campaign for Vitesse was made even worse a couple of weeks ago, as they were handed a record 18-point deduction for breaches of their licensing conditions and providing incorrect information to authorities. Unsurprisingly, the Arnhem-based club have now been relegated to second tier for the first time in 35 years, with their future in serious doubt. Edward Sturing’s visitors have struggled on their travels this campaign, losing 12 of their 15 road trips (W3-D0-L12), including 10 of their last 11.

Following a disastrous first half of the campaign with Rangers, Sam Lammers was loaned out to Utrecht and has been a revelation since joining them in January, scoring nine goals across his opening 15 matches.
The Dutchman heads into this encounter having remarkably found the back of the net in each of his previous seven Eredivisie fixtures, and I’m backing the in-form attacker to strike again against a Vitesse defence that has yet to register a single clean sheet on their travels this season, conceding a joint-league-high 42 goals across their 15 road trips.
