Football Bet of the Day

After making it 2, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Premier League, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Chelsea vs AFC Bournemouth

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Premier League

⏰ Tuesday 30 December, 19:30

Two clubs not in particularly good form in the Premier League at the moment meet at Stamford Bridge this evening as fifth-placed Chelsea host 15th-placed Bournemouth in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Enzo Maresca’s hosts have scored 30 goals across their opening 18 Premier League fixtures this season, with 13 (43%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

The Blues have failed to score in just one of their previous 17 Premier League encounters – striking on multiple occasions in nine (53%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Cherries backline that has shipped 27 goals across their opening nine encounters on their travels this season.

Andoni Iraola’s visitors have scored 27 goals across their opening 18 Premier League encounters this season, with 16 (59%) of them coming on their travels.

The Cherries have failed to score just once on their travels in the Premier League this season, scoring 2+ goals in five (56%) of them coming – including in four of their previous seven – and will look to breach a Blues backline that has kept just two clean sheets across their past seven Premier League encounters at the Bridge, with one of those coming against rock-bottom Wolves.

Bet of the Day

Since the beginning of last season, Bournemouth’s 28 Premier League contests on their travels have averaged an eye-catching 3.86 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score paying out in an impressive 22 (79%) of them, whilst 21 of their last 23 and 23 of their previous 27 have produced three or more goals.

Chelsea’s last seven Premier League contests at the Bridge have averaged 2.86 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score landing in five (71%) of them, whilst five (71%) of them have also gone Over 2.5 Goals.

Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has been a winning selection in both of the previous two meetings at the Bridge, and I’m banking on a repeat at West London this evening.

  • Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
  • Pays 7/8 (Betway)
