The UEFA Champions League returns this week, and after this round of fixtures, we will officially be halfway through the league phase of the competition.
For many, this first stage of the competition is just an opportunity for the big teams to feel their way into the competition, and some clubs can guarantee qualification through to the knockout stages as early as matchday five.
This week, there are a couple of blockbuster matches taking place, some of which are repeats of finals that have been played in the past decade.

Champions League betting tips
Liverpool vs Real Madrid – Real Madrid to win (17/10)
Liverpool will face Real Madrid at Anfield tonight in a match between two clubs who share 21 European Cups/Champions Leagues between them.
When the draw was made, Liverpool would have been the favourites for the match, but the odds have since levelled out due to a combination of Arne Slot's team struggling and Xabi Alonso excelling.
Real Madrid have won all but one of the matches they have played in all competitions this season, while Liverpool have lost six of their last eight. Even at the weekend in their triumph over Aston Villa, the Reds could easily have been a goal or two down before Emiliano Martinez gifted them an opener on the stroke of half-time.
What's more, Real Madrid just have something over Liverpool. They have beaten them in two finals in the past seven years and have knocked them out of the competition on two other occasions in that time frame. At 17/10, Los Blancos are a phenomenal price.
PSG vs Bayern Munich – Bayern Munich to win (6/4)
PSG vs Bayern Munich is a repeat of the COVID 2020 Champions League final. While both teams have changed considerably since then, I'm backing the same outcome of a Bayern Munich triumph.
If Real Madrid's form has been impressive this season, then Bayern Munich's has been out of this world. Vincent Kompany's team has won every single match they have played this season, and most of those have been routine.
Granted, they haven't played a team on the level of the European Champions yet, but PSG haven't come flying out of the blocks this season. They have dropped points in four of their 11 Ligue 1 matches, and the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in the CWC final is still fresh in the memory.
Considering Harry Kane is effectively a guarantee to get a goal at the moment, Bayern's price of 6/4 with BoyleSports represents brilliant value.
Slavia Prague vs Arsenal – Arsenal to win to nil (5/6)
This one shouldn't take too much convincing, as Arsenal are currently the most impressive team in Europe and they aren't exactly playing a giant in Slavia Prague.
As we know, Arsenal's success is built on the foundations of a watertight defence, and the numbers speak for themselves. They are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League and have conceded just three in all competitions all season.
What's perhaps even more impressive is that they have conceded just one shot on target across their last four matches, so it's not as if teams are missing chances against them; they just aren't getting any.
At 5/6 to win to nil, this is the best value bet of the week.
